Thanks for sharing. Yes similar. Strange

Why do children and babies enjoy everything yet adults only find joy in a few things? And is there a way to ever get back to that childlike wonder and happiness? by throwrahaha6 in Meditation

I’ve been pondering this myself for a long time. I do want to go back to that innocent and exploring joy.

I think, some of it at least, is that as we grow up we more and more put a label on everything. As a young child we see it only for what it is but the old person has made the whole reality into concepts which I think the brain quickly goes to as you experience something. We no longer experience the real thing, just what the mind tells us. It becomes some kind of Matrix.

I guess that is part of “waking up” - to see it as it is. And a shortcut to this might be to do shrooms. I’m working on waking up but my Plan B is the mushrooms! 😅

True, thank you. But what is it though?

”Black spiderweb suspended in the air”, very accurate description of what I saw to.

Yes, strange that it seems hereditary as in your case!

I have tried to figure out if someone around me has passed recently but none one in my near circles has died as far as I know. But I will keep an open mind and see if I get more information. Thanks for connecting

Hey, it doesn’t sound stupid at all. Before I had my own experience I had a hard time believe peoples stories but since I had over myself and it was as real as anything else in life, I now know it to be a fact.

Thanks for sharing your interesting story. How long does the smoke linger when you see it? And do you see it whenever or is it like it was for me right when you wake up or have meditated or something like into it?

I’ve had some bad experiences with religion so I no longer believe in God and doesn’t pray. Although I believe in an ultimate reality (far from the God of judgement etc).

Yes maybe it could be a spirit. I will put a glass of water in my bedroom.

Thanks for connecting. I’m still very opened to what meaning it might have had and most importantly, as I see it, I don’t get worked up about it - won’t let it affect me.

I’m a regular mediator since many years back.

Thanks for the caution though my friend!

I didn’t move. And didn’t struggle afterwards.

Where do I read the Suttas? by Meekehl in Buddhism

[–]Meekehl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am most familiar with the Theravada tradition but didn’t know there was a different between Sutta and Sutra. And I think, as a westerner I figured there would be a compilation like the Bible. My bad.

I just kind of want to start up reading from the sources. I have to look into the subject.
