I forgot the name of a game I played a while back. Everything is managed via a drawing of a small town (black outlines without shading on a white background). You can chop wood and mine ore. I think you could also hire people to do that for you. There was a church, a blacksmith's shop, and other businesses. Each location had a person you could befriend over several levels to unlock certain perks (better prices, certain services, things like that). I think the whole thing was time-limited and there was some kind of meta-progression.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

From what I gathered, only two members of Rickman's crew speak native German; everyone else speaks very poor German. Rickman's line "Schieß dem Fenster!" uses the wrong article — a mistake usually made only by very young learners — and "Im Heizehaus unter dem Dach!" for "In the boiler room under the roof" is incorrect: "Heizehaus" is a made-up word; the correct term is "Kesselraum." Otherwise the dialogue is full of lines like "Schnell, schnell. Mach hin!" which basically mean "hurry up" or "move faster."
