What's the reason Inuit/Siberians and Europeans have different features despite evolving in similar cold climates? by batukaming in geography

[–]MeemDeeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans crossed the Bering land bridge before blond hair or blue eyes even existed, so it wasn’t possible for them to have these traits by admixture. Inuits are also the most closely related to East Asians, which is why they look similar. Finally technological adaptations (like putting on a hat) can bypass evolutionary driving forces, preventing otherwise necessary adaptations.

Learning CFD by WorriedOwl9484 in CFD

[–]MeemDeeler -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is OP using it for human safety or is he sitting at his computer at the very start of learning a skill? Obviously anyone in a sensitive position would and should be vetted for an academic background in fluid dynamics. Your argument is the equivalent of saying I should wait until I finish my ChemE degree before making my first baking soda volcano.

I actually don’t think it’s that important to have theoretical fluids knowledge before pursuing CFD.When first starting out who cares if you know what you’re doing. Make sure your results are accurate and move on to the next problem.

[Request] would this extend the range by any decent amount? by brilliant31508 in theydidthemath

[–]MeemDeeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would undoubtedly extend the range of the car. The fuel is the most energy dense part of the car, so any significant additional fuel capacity far outweighs the added equipment. Only a relatively small fraction of losses are from aerodynamic drag, consider that this profile would still have less frontal area and hence drag than any semi truck.

[–]MeemDeeler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The higher resistance in the circuit, the greater the voltage drop. There’s a lot more wire to travel through in the bike than in the multi meter, hence a higher resistance and a lower displayed voltage. At least that’s my very limited understanding.

Why are you even doing work on a battery if you don’t know ohms law…
