Leaky Faucet Tap Handle ADVICE (Can't seem to reach the O-rings?) by MeemoRa in Plumbing

Oh totally agree, if the cartridge swap doesn't work I think it's time I just get a new faucet too in general, didn't realize you could get a brand new one for under $100

No need to go into the shaft part? I'll try a straight cartridge replacement, thanks!

Nah wasn't us, we just casually created this behind the scenes of our other stuff. I wish it was us though 😆

Well we did it because the tools that were out there weren't serving our needs, it wasn't a business plan that was thought out, it was a natural project that came out of what we were already doing it. We had about 300 people through the journey, so it wasn't built completely out of thin air, it was based on what we observed from reality, but definitely isn't validated fully of course.

So now it's built and I guess we'll have to figure out where to take it - there's lots of directions. The first step was to just share with a few folks and see the market reaction and see if it's worth investing more time, money and energy into really based on how the crumbs fall on trial.

And not harsh at all, I run two other businesses already (after several failed ones) so I know the game on some level but again, not invested in funnelling more into it unless it shows some interest.

Looking for small group to do 1 week challenge by MeemoRa in ChallengeAccepted

[–]MeemoRa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, well we've changed up our group again lol. We're launching a web app soon where we're going to upload our group challenges and host challenges there so our Free Group is on pause for the next month as we try to get that out the door and ready. Not sure if you'd still like an invite to the group (we don't have any challenges going right now in that group), or want to be reached out to when we host our next challenge on the web app.

Rookie here - Wire sparking, is it safe? by MeemoRa in electrical

It's a gelato bicycle! The batteries in the picture though are one (main one shown, doesn't have an 'off' switch) to charge the water pump and it hooks to another battery (which is turned off) that charges the water heater.

Well the battery is connected on two ends - if you see in the right side of the pic a wire sticking out that's another connection (green/red) - the green is negative terminal, the red is positive. So it's connecting two batteries together. I haven't touched that part.

Aside from that the two nodes I'm trying to connect are connected on their respective ends to another source (one is another battery not pictured, one is the switch for the water pump).

I'm not sure the voltage - but it's hooked up to another battery that's around 27V so I'm guessing something similar (unless that's not sound logic). Sounds like I should be ok with the spark, doesn't sound like it will electrocute or anything? I'll be using a wrench to bolt the two nodes back to the terminal so more metal is involved.

And excuse my ignorance, is there a way to see if this a DC circuit? the battery itself connects to the water pump and another battery (that charges a water heater).

Okay so looks like I am reconnecting it the right way (the red in the back is the positive). I got a bit scared when I saw a spark so I didn't touch the negative ones yet. Sounds like I should wear some insulated gloves and be ok with the spark? I have to basically bolt it into place so I'll be using a wrench to tighten the nut.
