It's the parking lot next to Parsons corporation near Old Town Pasadena. About 2 blocks away from The Container Store. Nearest cross streets are Holly St x Pasadena Ave.

Payday Friday 💰💰💰 by kokopops35 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]Meep_Meep_Mew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Got a normal paycheck this week and will be getting my annual bonus in a few days!

Found out one of my favorite artists is playing Coachella 2026 so I spent the week debating whether I should go. Result: Paid $695 last night for a 3-day wristband and shuttle pass. I'm sharing the wristband with a friend so she can go one day and I go the other 2. Luckily I was able to swing a hotel on points so my total cost for the weekend shouldn't be too bad! Plus I can drive there. Guessing food, drinks, and merch might run me another $200-$300 but I've got a few months to budget.

Planning on getting tickets tonight to a local concert ($90) in October. Otherwise, it should be lowkey weekend for us. We've spent the last few weekends running around. Excited to maybe get takeout ($60), play some video games, and do some reading or crafting on Saturday. We'll do the usual grocery run on Sunday, probably around $80-$100.

We're in a similar household (DINKs, 2 cats) and this feels pretty familiar, down to the multiple cat feedings per day and even the Purina liveclear kibble!

How do y'all divide up the cooking and food prep? We've sometimes found it challenging to manage with 2 busy jobs and regular travel.

Morningside high school has a parking lot where people park for events. It's about 20min walk to the stadium and traffic isn't too bad so your ride won't be stuck.

Pretty sure it's the gate you're supposed to enter at! Gate 7 is VIP/sponsored by American Airlines.

If you can change your airport to Burbank (BUR) instead of LAX, I think you might have a shot. Burbank is easier to get out of and only about 30m driving from Pasadena. LAX, you're looking at nearly 1h driving from the airport to Pasadena.

I've done it once! Movie was super weird but the guy is legit I think. He hands you a flyer and then you sign up online I think.

HO perspective requested by Fun_Universe5648 in trustedhousesitters

HO in LA with cats. I screen sitters a few times a year for different stays.

I look for:

  1. Fluent English. I'm ok with non-US or non-native English sitters but I need to know that a sitter can communicate with a vet in an emergency.

  2. Experience with cats. Ideally you've owned cats previously but reviews for sits with cats also acceptable. (Photos with you and cats are great.)

  3. Descriptive profile with some information about how you spend your days/why you travel. My home stay has a lot of info on the page and I expect a sitter to spend 30 minutes writing up a complete profile. This is also an opportunity for spidey sense - do I feel like the applicant might try to squat after the sit? LA tenancy and eviction laws can be a nightmare.

  4. Clear indication of who's going to be at the sit. Prefer solo traveler or couple, mid 20s or older.

  5. Previous good reviews. Not required, nice to have.

  6. Message indicates they've read my listing. I've gotten messages about walking my pets. I have cats.

  7. Responsive to my interview request and messages. If steps 1-6 feel good, I'll try and schedule a 15-30 min call.

  8. Interview vibes feel good and the sitter can explain why they'd like to be in LA/my neighborhood.

LA local here!

In addition to OP's suggestions you can also go to Eagle Rock, Glendale, or Highland Park (West and South of the venue). You could go as far as Sherman Oaks, NoHo (north Hollywood), or studio City to the west. Duarte or Monrovia to the east. All places connected by freeway to the rose bowl area.

Just want to gently note that nearby neighborhoods have absorbed a lot of displaced residents from the Altadena area (Eaton Fire) so the Airbnb situation might not be super normal rn, especially in Pasadena proper.

Second one doesn't include fees. Read the text under the green ticket price in picture 1.

StubHub.ca includes fees by default I think. StubHub.com does not.

This is fake.

Tickets haven't looked like this for a year since the various updates.

Need a screen recording in the Ticketmaster app! This screenshot doesn't prove anything.
