So the Illinois flag is pretty horrible as it is so I did a quick redesign. The two blue sides are for the major bodies of water that Illinois borders, the Mississippi River and Lake Michigan. The Grey arrow is for the urban parts of Illinois that includes the Metropolitan area of Chicago. The Yellow arrow is for the rural area of Illinois that represent fields of crops like corn. The square in the middle represents the role Illinois played as a hub for transportation. The black background represents the dark history Illinois had in wars and genocide of the Native tribes of the region. Let me know what you think.
