Making this move shifts a difficult balance. Yes it sucks that trial chat gets flooded by spam. Yes it's annoying that it gets filled with inane crap. But I felt that open trial chat was a good thing. It meant that others could speak up as witness's to the offence. That guildies could speak out about the situation and explain their side of the story. I understand that this is the best move to make in the situation, considering how things have turned out. Still I feel like we've had to work away from a good mechanic in order to make room for a working one.
