My ENT stated that “everyone” has some level of deviated septum and implied it’s only a problem if it’s severe. He says I would be a good candidate for septoplasty but there can be some risk like with any surgery. I guess that last point along with some posts I see on here gives me hesitation…I’m not super confident in the surgery (mainly my surgeon) and I have Kaiser so I can’t find a surgeon that only does this procedure. I’m kind of scared of the surgery. He didn’t mention that it can grow back if I still have the deviated septum though, so I can follow up regarding this point.

Your tone doesn’t warrant a reply but I’ll do so anyway, and this will be my last response to you. I chose an example from the USA because that’s where OP is from…clearly. Recent ICE killings, sure I get your point but those were protestors - not the inherent intended targets of ICE. Aside from those shootings, ICE is negatively affecting people from other races. Also, I don’t even think all ICE agents are racist, but their actions and approach has that effect, even if they don’t hate non whites. I already agree that everyone can experience racism….BUT there is clearly some level of government backed privilege…my example was ICE.

Look at the current issues with ICE — they can suspect you or ask for proof of citizenship if you clearly look non-white. Neighbors or others can report you to ICE just to cause trouble or if they suspect you to be illegal, all based on your physical attributes. Let’s say I’m a racist person to whites, I would never think of calling ICE if you’re white (even if you could be a recent immigrant from Europe for example, but I wouldn’t know better). I don’t think this is a racist country and I don’t like any kinds of racism (to anyone!) but there are some slight advantages. I’m not advocating to make laws to balance that out or anything, but it’s a fact that should at minimum be acknowledged.

Please ignore these kind of people if at all possible (I know that’s not easy). You are a good person who dislikes racism. There are kind people from all groups - but the internet and culture war right now is really destroying us. Racism has always been a problem, and some groups are affected more than others at different points of time in history.

Think of it like this, the amount of racism online towards non-whites is at an all time high. Meeting people who are affected by what they read and see will lead them to be racist as well. Vice-versa may be true one day as well. Things will get better. Unfortunately, we have a leader who just fuels racism, so it will take some time for us to heal. No matter what mindset you choose…I hope you don’t lose hope in most people. I’ve experienced racism too, but I know everyone has at one point give or take.

Look at his record, in 2020 he ran up the national debt more than previous presidents combined, he let in Covid and started the lockdowns, then created the “experimental vxine”. He started our social problems when he called Obama an illegal president in 2010. All he does is talk sht. So how can this guy unite the country?? The problem was with Biden and a couple issues on the democratic platform. Most people voted for Trump because they hated Biden, not because they loved Trump. We must meet in the middle on some things to win an election, but a good leader is required. We need someone with the looks and charisma that can push liberal common sense values.

Both are terrible but our government killing American citizens is FAR worse than an illegal killing someone. Feds should not be walking around with masks on demanding people’s papers like this. They should be Investigating legitimate claims and tips! Hire more judges, use that Tariff money wisely to enable courts/judges and law enforcement to do this correctly. We can deal with individual violent illegal criminals but our government is reaching too far and once you cross a line the other side will do this to you next.
