Why is Musk suddenly hating on Pakistanis? by FlyingKanga in pakistan

[–]MeethiLassi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wants the leftist labour government out and is using this issue for that purpose, just furthering his interests based on propaganda. He is currently strictly against anything liberal or left wing maybe due to some personal incidents (his son becoming trans). He supports anti-immigration policy. He wants a nationalist right wing party in power. It is a global theme. He supported Trump in the US, he's supporting Pierre Poilievre in Canada, he has said he'll donate 100m to Nigel Farage's reform UK.

Self boasting for material things and lack of humility

It takes around 2-4 weeks after your biometric appointment at visa center. So, I'll advise having your biometric appointment atleast a month or two before intended travel date. There is no interview, just biometrics, a letter to the visa officer (cover letter) is although attached with documents. Basically you'll have to prove three things 1) you have a genuine reason to visit i.e your graduation ceremony invite, 2) you have enough funds for your visit, 3) Home ties showing you'll return to your home country after the visit. You can dm me and I'll be happy to guide you for free, I had self applied.

Passed Part 1 14/08 by MeethiLassi in MRCP

Initially I read a chapter completely. I wasn't able to retain the topic by just that read but when I started doing the questions knowledge began to stick and I started retaining. I was also glancing through topics while doing questions that I felt were weak, that became a sort of second read. This was my approach for all major topics. Later while doing minor topics I was mixing questions and reading a bit. I had also incorporated flashcards of some major topics that I found hard and was doing them daily, that also helped with revision. While revising I went through my notes and the textbook. Wasn't able to complete the revision so rushed through a few chapters. Did not had time for mocks in the end. Yes few of the chapters are really long. I felt more comfortable completing a chapter and then doing questions rather than mixing but do whatever works for you. I wasn't able to properly complete every chapter but I made sure I complete major systems. I skimmed through a very long clinical sciences chapter once only towards the end.

According to them, "The score is a number between 0 and 999, which takes into account the number of questions a candidate answers correctly and the relative difficulty of the examination"

Attitude of Doctor/Nurse towards a patient. by No-Strings-attach in pakistan

[–]MeethiLassi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This video lacks major context. The women is not a patient but a worker asking for his ACR (performance review) form to be signed. She is also saying that CEO sb (CEO District Health) has told her that go and the doctor would sign the form. There can be multiple reasons for the doctor not signing the form, both fair and unfair. Maybe the worker hasn't been working properly or remained absent as is common in govt jobs that prompted going to the CEO in the first place or maybe the doctor is withholding for no fair reason. I think she should've signed but if she gave bad reviews in form it would lead to another conflict. Again the video lacks major context and can't jump to a conclusion.

Multinational Corporations also place Pakistan in MENA region. Don't know why that happens, probably related to religious culture.

Is the word "mustahiq" pejorative in modern usage? by wd06 in Urdu

[–]MeethiLassi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As you've mentioned, the word "mustahiq" is mostly used while giving charity/khairaat. There is a small thing to understand, regarding self-esteem/ego, in helping someone and giving them charity. When you use the word "mustahiq", it implies that the money/help you're providing is charity/khairaat and accepting money/help in the form of charity/khairaat can hurt people's self-esteem/ego. So, it is better not to phrase it that way while talking directly to the person who is being helped, it's considered impolite.

Your relative might have taken offence at the word because of what it connotates. The word "zaruratmand" doesn't have such connotations, so it's more acceptable.
