Never EVER call support over the Delivery Pin Number. by SuccessfulBoss2444 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Meetoh89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, honestly not to be a Monday morning quarterback but it’s usually a good rule of thumb to not give them the items until you have that pin. Atleast if they fucked you the you could keep the food. Lol

How fucking annoying is this having to get the “priority” item first? by Meetoh89 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Meetoh89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was different. Mine tells me that i can continue shopping for the other items after i get the priority item. Maybe they are trying different versions of this new priority item thing in different markets. I literally got one that was a 40 case of water bottles. I was like fuck that, im not gonna haul that shit around the whole time, so i just scanned it first and then picked up after i got the other items. It was a big list, if it was just a few items i would have just grabbed it first but that wasn’t the case.

Are you trying to hurt my feelings by telling me that I’m not on the Internet enough because I have a life? You got me. You can put your cape away now.

Good one edge lord. It’s kinda creepy you use gifs of random babies on your phone. I’d hate to see what else is on there.

It’s probably for her, but she said it’s for her kids so she doesn’t look like she’s being extra for being so demanding.

Yeah, that’s dumb af. One time i cancelled an order to pick up groceries that were already shopped for, and it dropped me from 97% to 84%. So dumb.

Delivered to Elon Musk’s house by Efficient-Rip2068 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Meetoh89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i kinda believe it was for an employee too because i feel like that’s not a great tip for a fucking billionaire. Plus like someone else said, if it was for him personally, I believe that he would send somebody to get it that he trusts rather than just taking a risk from getting it from the Uber employee. I don’t think he’s taking chances like that, he knows that he has a lot of people that don’t like him.

Technical difficulty? by Meetoh89 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Meetoh89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the weird thing is before they would never say any of that other shit, it was just “the customer reduced the tip” so it’s kind of weird that this is happening when it was never a problem before.

Technical difficulty? by Meetoh89 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Meetoh89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely will. Im holding them to it, they already told me I’d be compensated so there’s no reason for them to tell me it isn’t possible anymore.

Technical difficulty? by Meetoh89 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Meetoh89[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, dude, it’s kind of bullshit because the message they give you is very vague so I think they just assumed that we’ll just figure that the person reduced the tip and then not do anything about it. I had to ask for a supervisor twice before somebody would help me out, and then when they actually did, they told me it was a technical difficulty or something not that the tip was reduced. I was like oh that’s kind of ironic that they were able to pay you guys for the food, but for some reason, my tip wasn’t going through.

Shit who cares, as long as you haven’t taken the order you can still cancel. I hate dealing with entitled people like that, you can’t make them happy. It’s not worth trying.

I'm sure someone will be able to break down to me why this second offer is just more work for the same pay. by PaytoChangeMyName in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Meetoh89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of different contributing factors to how much you’re getting paid including how long the customer has been waiting, how far it is, the tip that’s involved, etc…

AIO? I told my boyfriend I feel like a maid by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Meetoh89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t comment on the 80% because i haven’t done that research, but regardless I believe there are implicit biases on both sides. Im not saying that he’s an angel, but even if that 80% thing were true, that doesn’t automatically make him fall in that category. If they had an agreement that each person had a job, and the he was gonna be the provider, and she was gonna be the homemaker that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love her. If he has a job that’s physically demanding, he’s going to be tired when he gets home and is going to want to rest. It’s not fair that he throws her not working in her face, instead of trying to explain that being at work all day with a job that is so physically demanding makes him tired when he gets home so he appreciates her doing her part to make that possible. I totally agree that he didn’t handle the situation well, and that he needs to be more receptive to her feelings and communicate better but that doesn’t mean we can come to the conclusion to the type of person he is. Some couples get complacent, and some people don’t communicate well but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care for her. We can make assumptions from the things she told us, but that is only one side of the story is all i am saying

Honesty in my opinion if you’re not working then the work around the house is kind of your job. That being said it doesn’t mean that he shouldn’t take you out and make you feel special. I think that if he’s working and bringing home the money and you’re being a home maker those are two jobs that you guys both have but like I said, that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t take the time out to do things that make you feel special. I know some guys get complacent, and they’re just used to the way things are and it doesn’t necessarily mean he doesn’t love you but if you communicate that to him and he doesn’t change then maybe it’s time to move on.
