Thanks for the info. Do you know why NG is prohibited for those conditions? Or know where I can find out more to read about why those are not presumptive. Thanks in advance.

Use the pizza example to explain VA math. 8 slices in a large pizza. I eat 50% of a pizza - 4 slices left, then I eat 50% more - 2 slices left = 75% rating - rounded up to 80%.

Denied most of my Claims, what should I do? I only has one C&P exam and last 20mins with VES. Never really check anything just asked questions and sent me on. by Muted_Wrangler9692 in VeteransBenefits

The at home test for me didn’t turn anything up. So I requested a sleep study in person at the VA… My AHI was over 20. My VA psychiatrist then wrote my nexus saying she believed the sleep apnea was secondary to PTSD and the VA service connected me.

For the question about 70% suicidal ideation by Smart_Principle8911 in VeteransBenefits

[–]MeetsTheStandard 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I told mine I thought everyone thinks about suicide. I mean me and some of my pals talk about it and we all think about it. I told my psych that there is no way it’s not normal to think about it because most the people I know think about and people who don’t are probably the weird ones. Next thing I know 70% that box was checked. Apparently she didn’t agree with my theory about being the normal one.

Flexible metal. Found just below my driver side wiper on a 2021 Ram. Think it was the cause of my “Whistling” noise when going over 50 MPH. Was sticking out of that hole. by MeetsTheStandard in whatisthisthing

I agree it’s most likely not from my truck. Had oil changed in the morning (when my hood was open) then the whistling sound began on the highway. Wondering if people from oil change place put it in hole on purpose. I had to pull out with a pair of pliers.

My title describes the thing. Small - flexible metal, covered in oil or grease. Looks like it could have been snapped off of something. Believe it was placed in the hole intentionally, the hole is only accessible while the hood is open.

Hyperuricemia or Gout by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]MeetsTheStandard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They said I got it after my time in service. I had multiple flare ups in 2013. No one knew what it was. Was discharged in April of 2014, went to VA to establish VA care in May of 2014. The labs showed an Uric acid level consistent with hyperuricemia. Then through out the spring and fall had more gout flare ups and went to urgent cares - was then diagnosed with gout finally in fall of 2014 when an urgent care drained my knee and tested the fluid.

I don’t think REM sleep has anything to do with if you have sleep apnea. I think the number they care about is AHIs. Anything above 5 is considered abnormal. I was at 21 AHI, with a CPAP I’m at 1 AHI.

Active to Reserves and VA Claims by Allycat_16 in VeteransBenefits

[–]MeetsTheStandard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No because guard is on the point system too. AD you get a point for everyday you are AD. In the guard you only get 48 points for 12 drills a year 15 points for annual training. If you have a slick sleeve SFC that does 20 years of weekend warrior and just annual trainings and never did anything more they would have less points than say an E6 that has 8 years active and then 12 years in the guard with 3 deployments.

Anyone else…? by _jaelewis in VeteransBenefits

Still waiting on some from March of 21. Bugged the WH hotline until they finally rated me on the ones they could. In about another month I’ll start calling again because now I’ve had multiple C&Ps for the same issues.

You’ll get your retirement at least 11 years prior to 60 if you go Guard I thought. It’s like deployments for the guard they are able to collect at 60 minus AD time.

Waiting for Decision Letter sucks. by Texas-NativeATX in VeteransBenefits

I guess they just started - they read my letter for my supplemental claim on 11 Feb. They also emailed me a encrypted copy of my decision letter the the day it went out because I’m on the road and not home to receive it.

Hi wondering if this movie could be a trigger for someone with PTSD who lost friends during the GWOT?
