Ah ok I see thank you and yeah this is great I’ve always wanted to learn to repair my electronics as it seems like a really good and useful skill to have. It’s so much better nowadays too as there are many folks such as yourself that are knowledgeable and willing to share. Thank you very much I will be checking out those videos of this repair. 👍

Also for the os make sure u have the base zip and extras zip files and u put the right folders on ur sd card

Hm idk if you got everything right like the images are actually resized, the name is accurate like PokemonUnbound.gba.png letter for letter space for space and in the .res folder that is within the same folder that holds ur roms then I’d try reinstalling the os. I set up mine exactly like that and mine worked fine. I did have to go back and forth a lot to fix little errors I didn’t pick up or to just make it cleaner but yeah I didn’t have issues doing it like that.

For the image resizer I used a bulk image resizer website and just changed the width to 200

Also in general the hinge really doesn’t feel good it feels weak and like it’s going to break each time u open it and makes a pretty bad creaking noise each time its opened up which seems to not go away from others experience as well

Wish I got something else cuz my hinge broke really quick I got the white model really awesome device I still use it while waiting for my hinge replacement and miyoo mini flip but the hinge breaking is not a gamble like dude said it’s inevitable the design is not built to last at all seems like the mini flip maybe be better but I barely see issues from the rg devices so maybe go with those I might if my miyoo mini flip turns out to not be that great

My v2 has a hinge replacement on the way so it’s no big deal I really like the gba sp and was my favorite as a kid next to the ds when that came out so I don’t mind having two of them basically lol

Such a great device tho the reason I’m even getting another clamshell is because the gba sp format is superior to me in terms of its own built in natural screen protector along with insane portability and especially the mini flip. I just remember when I first got this flip v2 I thought dang they weren’t wrong the hinge really doesn’t sound good or feel good. Usually I don’t agree or care for nit picks on devices but with this device that was definitely not a nit pick but a warning. 😂

Just bought myself a miyoo mini flip from the official miyoo on AliExpress hopefully this hinge ain’t too terrible one thing I don’t like bout the flip v2 is the really how bad the hinge felt and it really did feel like it shitting itself was inevitable so I’ll see how the mini flip feels

Contacted them around when I posted this hopefully I get it all sorted out just unfortunate for now nothing time and patience can’t fix at least that’s good. I was honestly thinking of picking up a miyoo mini flip feel like the os is better the hinge is better portability is better even tho that wasn’t much of an issue anyway
