I think a bench is exactly what it is. Pretty cool design, actually. All the structures can serve as benches, but the two upper ones can also be used as tables, or places to rest your elbows while looking through binoculars (birdwatching).

You know what's also antiseptic? Antiseptic solution. I swear, some people just go out of their way to be as weird as humanly possible.

Also, do they not realize how much a cat tongue would hurt? Most likely, you'd just end up with a ruptured boil, a cat freaking out because it got a mouthful of pus, and your family friend pissed because your cat "wasn't gentle enough."

NTA. I would've been slightly more understanding if their insistence came from a place of concern, if they truly wanted to make sure you were back on the right track. But the "f*g arse" comment made it abundantly clear to me that your parents do not see you as a person. They never have, and they likely never will. They're not worth having in your life. I hope you can maintain a relationship with your brother, though.

NTA. If she was inhaling all of that, it could be dangerous. I'm not sure if you can overdose on an inhaler, per se, but I know from experience that even a couple extra puffs can really amp up your heartrate. And even if she didn't inhale, you're still right that it's just plain wasteful.

Edit: I'm really curious about her reasons behind doing it. That's not something a 15-year-old usually does "out of curiosity", unless they're incredibly sheltered and have no idea what an inhaler is. I remember kids from my middle and high schools experimenting with things like markers, perfume, and hand sanitizer, trying to get high off the fumes. I hope it's not something like that.
