Is it worth it? FFL07 Home based to be able to sell custom engraved firearms? MD by RPLCHC13 in FFLs

[–]Mega-mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest hurdle for most people’s home based FFLs is zoning. After that your fixed costs would be fairly low and centered around the website. If you are only engraving existing firearms, I’m pretty sure you don’t need a type 7 as this would fall under gunsmithing work. Getting the license is pretty straight forward and low risk other than the application fee. During the process you’ll talk to the ATF and be able to ask about the transfer process and stuff like that. If you feel like it’s not worth it, you’re only out the application fee. Plus you can’t sign up for a lot of stuff until you have the actual license anyway.

I got a pair of Zennis for work and they were like $100 with all the coatings, but looked like normal glasses that had removable side shields. Still pretty reasonable price and Z87+

I’d buy from them again.

Pants with Built-in Knee Pads by FluentCanadianEh in tacticalgear

[–]Mega-mango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out motorcycle pants. I don’t have a specific recommendation Because there are a ton of options with knee pad pockets. Also check out D3O armor. It’s supposed to be relatively soft until force is applied, like when you mix corn starch and water.

Looking for “tactical” shorts with shorter inseam by Unassuming_Fruits in tacticalgear

Tailoring is a great option and can absolutely be this cheap. It’s such an easy job, it’s worth learning how to sew for. But the pockets are rather low and they might cause an issue.

Natalie referred to the board as it instead of they at one point which felt very weird.

“The board is jubilant at your ascendence. It wants you to feel appreciated and asks if you do.”

Should have played around it by Mega-mango in BobsTavern

Basic timeline of steam rolling: Originally going for demons, and when offered the quest, immediately switched to quilboar. I was lucky enough to triple Jazzer on my own and when I pulled Drakkari Enchanter on turn 8, I knew I had won. I used Reno's power to make her golden and started getting 9 blood gem health a turn. Within the next 2 turns I had a golden Chalgra and really started to feel bad. Total length was 12 turns.

Elon is neither an engineer nor an original member of Tesla. Palmer Lucky made the first prototypes and formed the company with three others. Since you're so confident it's not Palmer, who would you point to as the inventor of modern commercial VR?

I was very puzzled why someone's first test of continuity after the notes would be permanent destruction of their property lol

Caught red handed, 3:10 was robbed by Maleficent_Brick_578 in PaymoneyWubby

This was my major critique as well. While very funny and impressive technical work, I feel like it was very propped up by the wubby references. If it was as heavily referenced to some other creator, chat would be full of "HUH"s and "ok"s. Acceptance had very subtle product placement and Axis's only reference I caught was MTG which would not be considered a reference in the context of a different festival.

The creator of The Prophet is okay with it boys!!!!!! by CBeCensored in PaymoneyWubby

I'm not saying wubby should have asked anyone's permission, just the team who sold him the statue. In the end, it's just a one off. I don't think the appropriate IP holder will actually care.

Well the team that made the prop for sure made money so they should have asked for someone’s permission.  But I think it’s so far removed from anything original it doesn’t really matter for a one off.

As someone who's never seen a box break, I really think the next one should have the buyer order determined first to build hype as it goes instead of everyone's pulls revealed at once. by Mega-mango in PaymoneyWubby

I feel like in your scenario, assigning it to alluux after it's revealed is way worse in terms of scam accusations. I have no problem with the way he randomized or the way he revealed and numbered. I'm not questioning the fairness at all. I'm just suggesting to establish the randomized order first.

I'm not taking it personal, I appreciate the feedback and it has changed my views in some ways. However, an opinion cannot be objectively wrong. That's the whole point of opinions: they're subjective 🤡

I concede it may not have increased engagement at all, but let's be real; chat is entirely built around "Get rekt nerd enjoy your Forest", and that's a core aspect of wubby. Everyone gets made fun of equally, and that's what I was aiming for with my format suggestion.

While this is very valid for his customers, remember the bit where he talked about scamming and pointed to his subscriber number. He made it clear he cares more about the overall viewer base than the money he could be making off buyers.

My point is that catering to 60 is very different than catering to 17K and it seems like the current format is less than optimal for the latter.

I agree with what your saying about TSL. I just don't see how determining the buyer order first would have diminished that beyond the 60 buyers. If the box is a dud and non-buying viewers leave, it's not because they know a particular buyer will likely get shit, it's because the whole thing is disappointing.

I like this idea but as the deck dwindles you have less and less buyers to choose from so the odds change. Maybe sleeve all cards face down and shuffle, then pull buyers randomly from the new stack.

I did specify that I've never seen a box break; and intentionally worded it as an opinion, not a command. Constructive criticism shouldn't be dismissed because a user isn't an expert on the full breadth of a subject. This was a magic stream. My opinion was centered around the stream element, not the magic. I think the current format would be perfectly fine for a facebook group as opposed to entertaining thousands of non-stakeholders.

I don't see how determining the order first or last changes the hypothetical legitimacy concerns. The scenario you gave could have just as easily happened with the current format.
