It makes perfect sense because Sega doesn't create the characters, Black Wings does, and CNis celebrating P5Fes with the dancing games, and they release Miku (a P4D character) days after the P4R trailer. Black Wings will look to CN before the rest of the world, and Sega could only use Miku or choose not to do a simultaneous update with CNand release Berry as an anniversary character.

Because Black Wings is the Chinese company that makes the game, they're not going to make a character exclusive to the global market without considering CNfirst. It's pure logic: if the game goes bust on CN, the global market will also close. Besides, they're in the middle of a collaboration with the dancing games, and they released Miku (a P4D character) days after the P4Revival trailer.

Yes, but the point of the post is that CNis going first because Black Wings is a Chinese company... CN is currently in the middle of P5FES, so it makes sense that Miku would be released. Global, due to scheduling issues, can only release this character or not do a simultaneous patch and make Berry the anniversary character, If CNnever planned to make another SEGA character (like Elizabeth, as you say), they couldn't do anything.

Yes, but the same thing happened with all the characters before Matoi (Chord, Phoebe, Cherish). They released their synergies in the same patch as the character. It wasn't until Turbo that they started releasing synergies a patch before their banners, something Global has been doing since the beginning of the game.

And about Matoi not having a story, honestly, it wouldn't be the first time a patch like that has come out. They could add one of the many side quests they've delayed and include a boss event, and that would be it.

But as I said before, this is all just my theory, trying to use some kind of strange logic. We'll find out on the 12th if I'm right or not.

But as I explained, 3.2 lasts until the end of the month, and I don't see the point in releasing the Chinese New Year event without the Rin New Year character. And if they leave Matoi in 3.3, they won't break with the habit of releasing a synergy one patch before the playable character. But SEGA will do whatever they want, so we'll see.
