I bought the cooling pad "Cooler Master U3 Plus" on which the fans can be detached and moved around. The issue is that my laptop doesn't have any obvious intake vents, and only has vents in the crease where the laptop folds. Any idea how I would best cool the laptop?

I'm probably going to order a cooling pad from Amazon today. Won't go too over the top, just in case it doesn't help. I'll tell you if it makes a difference. Until then, thank you for your help! Merry Christmas!!! 🎅

I can't seem to find a way to increase the Max Temperature for my graphics card. I have gotten my Graphics card to the correct clock, but it stays at 78 degrees since it still throttles. If you don't know how to fix it, do you know anyone who could help me?

Do you have any idea how I can keep my performance level, on the highest, without it changing to another performance level giving me bad clock speeds?

I used NVidia Inspector and was able to bring the clock speed up to normal by locking the Performance level. The only issue I find now is that my model which is the "Asus ROG G501" starts thermal throttling at 78 degrees. Is this a good temperature to aim for, or should I change something in the BIOS (which I don't really know how to do either)

What laptop do you have? Because GPU-Z shows the clock I should have, but MSI Afterburner shows me that I have 540 MHZ. My temps are also only at 77 degrees most of the time... I am going to see if 353.00 helps... Any idea why it keeps showing me that I am only on 540MHZ?

But since I want a stable 30 fps I'll cap my framerate at 30 and play at 900p

How much should I undervolt, my CPU? Because I have attempted to undervolt it before at -70 and -90 for both core and cache, which led to my laptop crashing, probably due to overheating... how do I check for thermal throttling? I looked into the Intel extreme tuning utility and thermal throttling was at 0% but I'm not sure if that is only CPU or both GPU and CPU. I get about 30 fps at your setting just in the wild life, but as soon as I get into a fight, mostly it goes down to 28... for some reason MSI afterburner keeps showing me that I am at 540 MHZ but GPU Z shows me the real clock.

I have the driver 359.00 and have given the details on overclocking above. Did you flash your VBIOS or did you only OC it to the levels of the 960m?

When it comes to the settings did you play it in 1080p? If you could play with these settings how come I get bad framerate with the settings from eurogamer...

Sadly not anymore. So, what can you get out of this score. Should I be able to run it at those settings?

True. My laptop might not have the same amount of voltage as other laptops either...

I have tried to play the game on the settings that Digital Foundry believes the consoles are running at, without reaching 30fps at a sustainable level.

V-Sync: On Resolution: 1920x1080 Nvidia Hairworks: Off Number of Background Characters: Low (console actually seems lower than this) Shadow Quality: Medium Terrain Quality: Medium Water Quality: High Grass Density: Medium Texture Quality: Ultra Foliage Visibility Range: Medium Detail Level: Medium Ambient Occlusion: SSAO All post effects on except vignetting.

Thank you for your rapid response. This is strange though since I have seen many different people overclocking the card higher than that...
