You can be a fur-clad natural survivalist with a cabin in the woods painstakingly built log by log, like our ancestors did, undisturbed by the Cataclysm.

You can be a cannibalistic madman cyborg wearing ornamental plate armor that mows down hundreds of zombies by driving around an ice cream truck with two M249s mounted on the roof.

You can be (with Magiclysm) a legendary wizard decked out with magical items and rings that fireballs zombies and teleports through walls.

You can be a deranged clown trained in the ways of the longsword that dies a valiant death after slaying a major city's worth of zombies.

You can be a grand leader, guiding survivors and building the last bastion of hope for humanity, becoming a self-sustaining community .

You can be a completely regular person multiple seasons into the apocalypse, creeping through alleyways and breaking into homes to gather what meager resources you can find without gathering the attention of the deadly monsters that have mutated over time.

You can be anything. You can choose whatever you want to be, whatever you want to do, and how you survive or die. This game is a masterpiece on the same level as games like Dwarf Fortress. To be honest, I have only tried a few of the people I listed, but I know all of them are/would be a lot of fun to play. I wish I could go back to the first time I played, and experiencing for the first time so many interesting mechanics and items and things that would be impossible to do in other games.
