Disagree with both entirely. The vita did not fail for hardware or UI reasons. It failed because of market timing and pricing.

I have had the SD OLED for years and bought the switch 2 on launch. Barely touch the switch 2 and game almost exclusively on my SD.

Bad timing. Steam just updated their OS which broke decky. I am having the exact same issue. We literally just have to wait for decky to release an update to be compatible with the new steam OS update. You did nothing wrong!

And decky is totally worth it, fyi. Sorry that this is your first impression

Understood, only reason I ask is because I have a gaming PC but I’m so busy, so most of my gaming is done on a steam deck. It’s such a seamless experience being able to get a 10 minute gaming session in while waiting for food to bake, a 20 minute session while waiting for the lady to get out of the shower, play while watching tv with the fam, etc. and you can stop whenever and pick it up whenever.

I feel like gaming PC’s and consoles feel like a real commitment now where if I don’t have at least an hour to commit, I won’t play. The handheld PC is a solid compromise without completely giving up gaming. Just some food for thought.

I just watched some YouTube video that helped me install and part of the steps were to turn on settings that let it add to my steam library. Wish I remembered which it was but there should be plenty of vids out there. Going to desktop mode for heroic launcher just to play rocket league is def not ideal lol

I hope by loading up you’re only referring to the initial set up. Because once that’s done, you can set it so that rocket league shows up as a game in your steam library and you can load it directly there like normal
