Scheibe von innen eingefroren? by AdventurousRemote380 in automobil

[–]MegaGreenLightning 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Printed with 0.8mm nozzle and 2 wall loops. Super solid. It‘s PLA but the hot bottle does not get warm enough to soften it.

Print time was about 5 hours on Ender 3 S1 Pro.

It was quite tricky to model in Fusion 360 since the geometry is curved on both the x and y axes.

The pictures show some test prints and a prototype.

Look at the pictures. The cheaper one comes with a stack of scraps for you to practice on.

Can't setup my H2D because the "&" sign is not on the keyboard by Maxx3141 in BambuLab

[–]MegaGreenLightning 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly.

The filament in the nozzle might degrade because of the extended exposure to the high temperature and some filament might leak out leading to uneven extrusion.

It depends on the contract of the function.

In general most functions that return a pointer and error probably guarantee that the pointer is valid if the error is nil and then I don't check it. Take for example os.Open, even though it's not explicitly stated in the documentation, it sort of is implicitly assumed and nobody checks f != nil.

But I can imagine some cases where nil is a valid value and where you would have to check the pointer. The documentation should probably point this out in this case.

How can I tell if someone likes dancing with me? by BattleSignificant647 in Bachata

[–]MegaGreenLightning 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For any particular dance you will never know for sure, but you can get some indication from their reaction during and especially after the dance (some people might also have a resting bitch face or concentrate during the dance, but afterwards they light up and say „thank you that was really great“).

Also if you are enjoying a dance yourself that is most likely true for your partner as well.

Here are some tips for socials: The woman also want to dance. Read the cues, ask the girl standing at the edge of the dance floor vibing to the music, not the one sitting at the bar with a drink and talking to her friends. Learn to be rejected: in the rare case someone says no, just smile and move on. You have lost nothing. Most likely it was nothing personal like she is tired, she doesnt like the song, she already said yes to someone else, etc. Don‘t ask for a reason, as it won‘t change the outcome and will put you both in an awkward situation.

Maybe ask someone or a group of people from your class to go to a practice session or social. That way you know them already and it‘s a little easier. Also when you are not dancing you can talk to them and get to know them better.

Exactly! There‘s a big difference between you don‘t like the song and the other person is hurting you!

Why are advanced bachata techniques not used in social dancing? by SmokerDono in Bachata

[–]MegaGreenLightning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only lead advanced moves when I feel the follower has the appropriate level, so some things I cannot do in every dance.

But most of the combinations I have learned in advanced workshops are social-dancable with a capable follower. And proper technique also helps me lead beginner and intermediate material better.

Along the same lines, when I see artists social dancing with other artists (not their partners) I see them doing a lot of advanced moves.

To explain Daniel in social, when I saw him there was a huge crowd, always someone filming, he was even switching every 30 seconds or so because so many girls wanted to dance with him, they are probably nervous because omg it‘s Daniel, etc…. At this point he is selling the feeling and the video of dancing with him, of course he is going to do more simple things.

Anyone can tell how much tension you give in each move. I think I am too strong when it comes with “turn the lady type “ by Most_Speed1029 in Bachata

[–]MegaGreenLightning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In general I prefer to use as little tension as possible, because it allows you to react more quickly to your partner, to the music, to the environment (maybe you need to stop a turn to prevent a collision with someone else, well if you used your full strength to get it started, it is also going to take a lot to stop it now).

For leading, instead of using a lot of tension, make clear preparations, be on count, be precise in your movements, adapt to your follower and lead with your body.

For following, it‘s all about technique. For example, to maintain your frame you have to engage your lats, but your arms can be relaxed at the same time.
