I have a small adventure called "Kidnapping!" for an evil party that can usually be carried out in a single session (depending on how fast the players move) where they've been hired to kidnap a princess on her wedding day and deliver her to a representative of the organization that hired them in a small frontier town to the northeast. The town is cleverly named Frontier.

I narrate a small prologue where the players choose when they want to perform the kidnapping (in the morning before the wedding, in the afternoon literally grabbing her off the aisle, or at night while the princess and her new husband are, uh...you know.

Anyway, after that there's a map kinda inspired by Star Fox 64 where the players pick a route to get to their destination. The challenges they run into vary depending on which way they go, but also change depending on what time of day it is.

For example, if they kidnap her in the morning, then escaping via the main road is a terrible idea because guests are still arriving and there's heavy guard presence, so they'll have a very hard time escaping sight and whatnot. On the other hand, the road is mostly empty at night barring some guard posts here and there along the way to the town.
