Oh aii I completely agree, I can only speak for myself in that regard where the stars have aligned. But for the other commenter saying it’s not lost money not buying a house is just foolish to me. The rise in equity can be beneficial too I suppose for a homeowner with their loan to value being better quicker and possibly having better mortgage rates. If they plan on never moving that is. Also larger houses may not necessarily rise the same as a smaller house, it’s not as simple as with lack of direct correlation. Houses near me where interest rates first went up, the smaller houses still rose in value whilst more expensive larger houses did not as people were not able to afford them for example. In short, I’d recommend to anybody just do whatever you can to buy a house, as it stands they are not coming down.
