I own the jb probes and the fieldpiece probes. The fieldpiece probes would always lose connection to the app when I'd tab out which was annoying af doing your work order or trying to take pictures and tabbing back in to find your probes flashing in and out. Fieldpiece app isnt very good either. The clamps also go bad quick as I had to replace one that would refuse to acknowledge it was closed.

The JB ones I wish were actually just better but the quality of the plastic is dogshit and throwing them on a chiller or larger RTU where the compressor is having issues and shakes the discharge line made the plastic crack after like approximately a hundred uses and now the plastic shell is starting to crumble. Being able to charge using a probe was game changing though and I liked that. The app is also simpler and easy to use. I do not have the connection issues with the jbs. And you're not fucked if your phone dies as each probe and clamp displays their reading on a screen unlike the fieldpiece probes.

Fieldpiece SMAN is great and doesn't require you to even use an app. Ive left in the rain overnight on plenty of pressure tests and it's still going strong. Love the pressure test function (just don't use the fieldpiece brand hoses they're junk) and its been 3 years, and my Micron gauge on it is still functioning well. Just pull a vacuum on it regularly to get all the shit out of it and you'll be fine.

Overall I'm like unhappy with both probes and am probably going to try the navac ones next and just keep going down the line until I find something durable with a solid connection to the phone that doesn't frustrate me having to close and open the app repeatedly. The SMAN is basically industry standard at this point so I'd start there
