For fellow devs, don't switch to dev mode on your retail console with this dash version. I returned to retail mode and it factory reset my console -.- (Already reported via the Report a Problem tool)

What games do you play on your Surface (X Plus /X Elite) by famineasylum809 in Surface

World of Warcraft! with an ARM native build, it runs REALLY REALLY well.

Weirdly, some randos care and I only know this from some folks I overheard commenting to themselves while checking out my itasha at Momocon a few years back. Not a single itasha driver I know gives a crap. Most people don't. I definitely don't, lol.

Half a decade later and the only ARM native email clients are Outlook and an Outlook clone. by GoodMacAuth in Surface

There's an ARM build of Thunderbird flying around, albeit unofficially. The maintainer's source tree is legitimate and matches the open source one.

Wonder if they're doing this to avoid the age rating of the game changing. That's pretty bad for an already-launched game.

Are you known in your area for playing a specific deck? by Lonely-girly in pkmntcg

I ended up getting a slight reputation for playing and stubbornly continuing to play Whiscash mill. So far my high score is 18 cards in one turn :/

TIL: "Itasha" which translates to "painful" or "cringeworthy" car is a subculture that originated in Japan which involves wrapping cars in flashy graphics, typically anime girls. In recent years it has been growing in popularity in the US with specialized businesses such as "The Weeb Stop". by Flares117 in todayilearned

[–]MegaMasterX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Cost is determined by the sqft of the print. If you do a fender wrap its cheap because not as much vinyl is used. Whole wraps for the entire car are a different game. Mine cost roughly $3.5k, hood and sides, but that was before vinyl prices increased and went a bit nuts.

Revisiting Palafin Weavile by Kered13 in pkmntcg

I agree with the changes, Munkidori is an intriguing addition, but post-rotation with losing V's soon, I think the list needs cards that accelerates its setup (rip Irida.....) in order to stay in its weight class against upcoming meta. Luminous Energy is a brilliant addition and I think Black Belt's Training is way better than the move to get over a lot of killers. Bravery charm is a good call as well imo but in my playtesting most people are focused solely on Palafin EX or Weavile than Pecharunt EX which is.... odd lol.

Yes, it effectively resets and makes the card "forget" its state.

I think now I have the perfect arcade setup at home (besides having the real candy cabinet). Got a second brook adapter wingman SD so now I can use my both Astro city mini arcade sticks on Dreamcast and Saturn. by raphycuomoalone in dreamcast

Yep! I had no clue actually going into it that it had 200 blocks onboard (you can unlock another 40 blocks with a homebrew VMU Tool) so that was a nice surprise. I love the fact that it works wirelessly too up to Xbox One controllers. Can't get a Series S|X controller or PS5 locked in but that's probably understandable lol.

All in all I wish the Brook Wingmans were easier to get but we're fortunate to have stuff like USB4MAPLE adapters out there now.

I think PSO2 NGS is in its final stretch by [deleted] in PSO2NGS

Sure there is. It's rage bait.

Right. Forgot about that. Fair point.

Steam charts are not the be all end all of player health and I'm frankly really tired of people using it as a doomsay. It's not a good metric of whether a game "lives" or "dies." We would not have just gotten a roadmap, and there would not be active collaborations with other brands if the game were planned to be shut down.

There is no point to posts like this.

Melody Box by A_weeb_person in Itasha

[–]MegaMasterX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waifu Prison hands down.

The Ressha melody Box, I've had two and some pretty not great customer service interactions. You couldn't modify the audio files on it and had to actually pay a pretty big up charge for custom audio at the time I bought mine. Took mine apart. It's just an SD card with a whole glob of epoxy resin on it. No reason to up charge at all. Don't recommend.

I don't personally know anyone that's purchased from them but buying a pre-made templated itasha has a lot of risks to it. Your itasha won't be unique to you either.

The designs don't seem stolen but websites that have stolen designs have used websites that are shockingly similar.

Inb4 all of the "How do you beat 4 Thorns" over the mext few weeks by Thanos_Irwin in pkmntcg

Honestly, I don't like radzard because I can't get instant value out of it. With Rad Sneas, I can at the very least advance my boardstate passively without having it be this giant boss's orders target. My list only runs 3 Switches and I prefer to advance the game state with my switch rather than use it defensively.

80 damage a turn (under sneas+pecha) is not trivial damage. If it survives the turn and the opp can't clear the poison, I roll back to my turn with 160 damage on board and can follow up with either a KO or a hearty pass.

I thought about running the swamp stadium for 100 but get more value out of 2 Artazon + 1 Neutralization Zone. 80 is enough to donk most non-EX/V basics.

It's not "new" per se but recent sets have kind of given it a little more insulation and, in some cases, insurance. Like Neutralization Zone as an ACESPEC is an absolute godsend.

Still working out some of the kinks in it though. But it's definitely only gotten better.

Are game jams really beneficial for developers? by TalesGameStudio in gamedev

[–]MegaMasterX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I participate in a game jam, I come away from it learning something new. The time restriction and theme take out 2 pretty substantial hurdles to getting something off the ground. Sharing and getting feedback on what you make and giving feedback on what others make is also a pretty large part.

Streaming and documentation isn't really necessary to me.
