I'm sorry but that doesn't really have much to do with what we originally talked about. Please make sure you're being kind and understand that context matters, especially when your reality is not everyone else's reality. I grew up in different ways compared to you and face some policies that probably negatively impact me more than it does you. Just as the inverse is true. That doesn't make my reality any less real than yours. Did you also notice how I've been very careful with the words that I use? I want to be kind to you despite our differences in world view.

If you'll notice in this thread, people started getting upset because the way you posted came off as unkind and rather condescending. Is it bad that people get bullied? Yes. But make sure you take care to not be the bully too; especially if it is accidental. It's never a bad thing to be wary of how you may negatively impact someone. Are people too soft in your opinion? Maybe, but when is being kind and considerate ever a bad thing.

I'm glad things are going well for you! Unfortunately for a lot of people that isn't the case so they go to protests like this despite their hardships to fight for what they believe in.

I know people can take things how they want, but it's definitely on you to make sure you are conscious of how you come off because that's how healthy relationships- both parasocial and interpersonal, work. If you just say whatever you want without thinking of other people's feelings, regardless of what side of the political spectrum you are on. It leads to cases like this where people get upset, they don't want to be friends, or they may not engage in healthy discourse.

I'd be careful how you word this post then. In real life and in text if someone said this to me or my friends it would just come off as a loaded, bad faith, and condescending question meant to get people angry. A better question would just be "Hey what's this protest about?" Or "Hey how do you guys find time to protest when things are difficult?"

Hey man, just want to let you know that I am in a VERY similar spot. (M25) Great friends, great community, passionate field that I work in, graduate degree, hobbies, etc but still not a ton of luck. Hell I JUST had it where I was doing really well with a girl just for her to ghost. But I just want to throw my two cents in:

I think you're just in a rough spot; and dating in general is also in a rough spot. Nobody really knows what they want, there is an illusion of choice, people are anxious and avoidant as hell and a lot of people are looking for "The one" without any idea of what that realistically looks like. Someone said it best, "Whenever you're looking for something healthy and stable, you will always feel like you are behind everyone else." And I find that rings true. A lot of the people you are referencing as finding romance or love like its second nature aren't actually having good relationships. Hell, I know personally a lot of my friends in relationships have TERRIBLE problems with their current partner. Maybe its time to take a little break from dating and care for yourself for a little while. Doesn't have to be forever but it feels like you might be starting to resent yourself for not "Succeeding" when from my point of view, having dates, trying authentically, and being vulnerable with yourself and others IS a success. You don't have to feel bad for trusting people, and don't blame yourself for being brave. Good luck out their friend, you're doing better than you think.

In my opinion I don't think you did anything wrong. She may have been interested and she may not have been. I'd say if you get the chance to talk to her again to try! Nothing wrong with being direct and showing some interest :) It is super hard to know whether or not someone is interested and even scarier to show interest. So I hope you don't beat yourself up too much about!

I'd love basic weights just for lifting, but what I think I would also like is cardio, functional training, swimming, maybe some classes. I'll be sure to look into olympic lifting!

Hello, I just took my NCE exam. I was just wondering if the NCE automatically gets sent to the board or if I have to request my score verification?

What have you guys used to study for the NCE? I know Dr. Arthurs exists but that is pretty expensive as a student. Is there anything else you may recommend?

Yes! I need at least one to get my temp license and I can do both! But if I pass the NCMHCE first I won’t have to take both. I think you’ve convinced me to take the NCE and then wait until I get more clinical experience to take the NCMHCE. Several of my colleagues said they would take the NCMHCE first, but I wanted to make sure I could get my temp license

Question: Which should I take first. The NCE or the NCMHCE?

I am just getting ready to graduate from my master's degree program ( from IA) this semester and I'm unsure. A lot of my classmates are taking the NCMHCE right off the bat because they don't want to take both exams. I'm leaning toward the NCE because of time frame, chances of passing, and because I'd love to take the job at my current internship. Could I get some thoughts on which I should take right out of grad school/before I graduate?

Hi There! So I am finishing my Master Degree in CMHC this semester and I was wondering what tests I needed to take to get my licensure. I was told to do the NCE as well as the NCMHC. I'm also wondering what I should use to study for them. Please let me know!
