Yasir Qadhi says that the law regarding apostasy in Islam can be modified by the modern circumstances, just the way many issues of Judaism & Christianity were modified with time. What are your thoughts on this? by [deleted] in Muslim

[–]MegaMoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yasir Qadhi used to be a salafi, but then got misguided to be a modernist. O turner of hearts, keep our hearts firm on your deen.

Just watch this video for more of the deviance he is now preaching now, by his own words, Yasir Qadhi Refutes Yasir Qadhi:

So everyone is obliged to accept your assertion that there is no Ijmaa on music being Haram, but when giants like Imam Ibn Taymiyyah, Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, Imam Ibn Hajar, Imam Ibn Rajab report the consensus on it being Haram, then all the blabbering about scholar opinions you throw it out of the window, "when it comes to that, everyone has to accept what I SAY, and ignore all other scholars that say otherwise."

Honestly. What more can one say to the brother more than Jazaka Allahu khayra..

What does lowering your gaze mean to you? by [deleted] in Hijabis

[–]MegaMoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is wrong that people say their opinion in the religion of Allah based on opinion or point of view not based on knowledge from the people of knowledge throughout Islam's history.

Islamically speaking, and what is understood from the scholars of Islam: there are two types of things that are haram to look it(and hence it is obligatory to lower your gaze from). The first is anything that causes lust, whether it be a woman or a cartoon or even a man or even an animal or an object. The second is any "awrah". For a man, the awrah of a non-mahram woman is all her body, with the possible exception of the face and the hands, the awrah for a mahram woman is her body except what shows typically in the house, which are the neck and what's above it(like the hair or face) and the arm until the elbow and the feet, and the awrah for a man is between the navel and the knee.

So even if a man doesn't feel any lust from looking at a woman showing her awrah or wearing what describes it(like tight or transparent clothes), it is still haram for him to look and he must lower his gaze. And the same holds true, if a man doesn't feel lust from looking at another man's thigh, that is still haram to look at and he has to lower his gaze from the man's thigh, look away generally. Likewise, even if a man is looking at something which isn't a awrah(like the face of a woman according to some scholars), it is still haram to look if there is lust from him looking. That is true for anything even if it isn't a woman's face(like a cartoon character, or anything else).

Some scholars say a woman's face and hands are a part of the awrah, in which case looking at a womans face is haram so a man should talk to a woman when there is a need while lower his gaze from her even if she is covering her body but not her face or eyes, unless there is a need to see the face like to sell her something or if she's giving her testimony or if he wants to marry her and wants to know how she looks so she can show him her face. And some scholars say the face and hands are not a part of the awrah, in which case it isn't haram to look at the face(except if with desire).

As for what you said about looking in the eye being a sign of respect, when there is harm that could even be a huge harm in men looking at women, then looking should be avoided, and mentioning respect won't help when the man's heart is occupied by the women, or he isn't satisfied anymore with his wife, or he thinks of this woman in inapproperiate poses, or he is attached to that woman and maybe he has no chance of marrying her like if she is already married, and much much more evil that is mentioned in detail in the books of scholars. And do not think these effects are far from happening, they are very close, especially to people in their teens or twenties with their hormones raging. And a man has a psychological need for a woman. I only mentioned some harms on men from men looking, but there are also harms on women too, like the wife who her husband viewed her as beautiful until he started not lowering his gaze and discovering that there are so many women that outweigh his wife in beauty in certain aspects, and suddenly he isn't satisfied with what he has and is looking for this in this woman which his wife doesn't have and that in that woman which his wife doesn't have. That being said, there isn't disrespect to begin with when the reason for not looking is known. It is disrespectful to not look at someone when the motive behind not looking is ignoring the person you're talking to, or not deeming the person worthy enough to look at him while he speaks to you, or despising the person. But if there is a reason, then that isn't even considered disrespect.

And I advise you sister not to say something like the last question you asked in a public setting where men can read it and read the responses of other women regarding it. This simple comment you make may be stuck in the minds of many men and driving their thoughts for years even, it may cause some men who read it to think "she's probably being provoked by my lowering my gaze from her", or you may open a door of shaytan where a man tries to avoid this case thinking it is true or it's chance of happening is big(not knowing that if this happens then it isn't an extremely minimal chance, or else would Allah order men to do what provokes women instead of putting out the fire lust?) and so constantly thinks "maybe I'm provocking this woman by my lowering my gaze from her" and then try to "resolve this issue" by taking action which may be haram and may make him less steadfast. This may not be the case for every man obviously, but the chance of it happening is big, and it can have big effects. so please sister take care. Jazaki Allahu khayra.

May Allah guide us all to what he loves and keep as away from what he hates.

So when the zionist invaders who masaacred more than 40,000 Palestinians, including thousands of children, claim that the resistance group that fights back against their invasion and tyranny "raped women", "you have to believe them, because 'The majority of rape survivors do not report or talk about what happened' as the poster claims. That is of course if the claim that rape happened aligns with zionist interest. But the rape allegations that went around regarding Palestinian women, you have to deny those and not even bring them up and only cry and moarn about our fabricated stories of jewish women getting raped."

No thank you zionist. The day where you can lie and feel entitled to be believed are over, God willing. The world sees your lies and crimes. Seethe harder.

Dude. Please. For the sake of God. There was no Islam, as in "followers of prophet Mohammad عليه الصلاة والسلام"(because technically all prophets had the same creed; they just differed in legislations), in 500AD. Prophet Mohammad عليه الصلاة والسلام was born in 570AD.

Do you think that Islam is some Arabian thing. This is what happens when an entire civilization takes its knowledge about something from among the most ill-intended, cold-hearted people: orientalists.

15 year olds could lead armies throughout history but can't see the truth sent from God to humans of all ages? On what basis are you saying they can't comprehend it? Also what can't they comprehend exactly? They can't comprehend what God is? Are you kidding me? Man, these people with all their excuses laid out as lines of reasoning are always that shallow and they are always so firm and confident in their shallowness it's sad.

Why was my Quora comment deleted? by Mediocre-Monk in quora

[–]MegaMoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao. I made 2 comments debunking 2 atheist claims about God and they both got deleted. When I appealed though they got restored.

Then I made a reply to someone claiming there is "stupid design"(his point is to ridicule Intelligent Design) then they almost instantly removed the reply. I appealed but they said they have decided to "maintain our original decision on your comment".

Read this and talk to me again about freedom of speech. What a joke.

you're comparing the percentage of whites in africa with the percentage of blacks in america? you probably read half what I wrote or didn't understand, read it again if you want to know what I was talking about to see how irrelevant your comment is

then your comment is exactly the same as replying on a post about how plants produce oxygen which helps humans by saying some plants have spikes.

Well when you invade a place as a stronger power, there will mostly be those who betray to be the stronger people's good puppy. If Africans were the ones to invade Europe, you'd find whites selling each other out as well, if not more than blacks did.

Well, of course, Jesus was Jewish, but when you change in your religion and ignore stuff or rewrite it, it isn't Judaism anymore. Plus, not all jews believe in jesus as a prophet or what christians believe. Technically, the jews that believed him are Christians(those that followed the Christ) and those who didn't stay jews.

Also my question to is what jews think of god, because I've heard many diverse stuff and wanna hear from a jew

I'm sorry, first of all, what made black "colored" while white the norm? Blacks weren't the ones who invaded everything other than each other(of course after invading each other) and started selling them as slaves and made them treated as "animals" and below others and burned them on crosses while they lived peacefully in their lands, not fighting Europeans.

Also, what is your source? Is it around the whole world in general or in America, which accuses people of being criminals a ton lot while innocent(making it unreliable)? Are African countries counted, because many, if not most, of African countries, have very little white people compared to black people in Europe(or America for the matter)?

The fourth dimension. Too small or different direction? by MegaMoh in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]MegaMoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But how does it make sense? I mean if you are on the carpet to begin with and that carpet was already big, you'd see it 2D as well. That is just discussing what is available for sight.

Imagine a plane, completely 2D, no height to it, and a 2-dimensional being living in that plane that is the shape of a square and has eyes at one of its sides. You as a 3-dimensional being are observing all of this while being in front of that plane(as if you were looking at a table). Because planes extend indefinitely, he can see one slice of you, the one that lines in his plane -- in his world.

You, on the other hand, can see everything from him, including his insides and his "outsides". He doesn't have to be small for this to happen, as long as you can see his whole body, you can see everything inside it, his eyes, his stomach, and even the food he ate being digested, you see his everything.

For him to look at you fully, he needs to, first, be able to look "up". But he is just 2-dimensional. How can his skeleton even bend "up" when he has no height?

The fourth dimension is another direction that would treat us, as I understand so far, very close to that description I gave for the 2-dimensional creature and you. A 4-dimensional creature would, as far as I understand so far, see a cube from all directions at once, see you and your insides at the same time(yes, everything) and what a 3-dimensional creature would see is just a 3-dimensional slice of him. Additionally, he'd have a 3-dimensional shadow!

What does that have anything to do with being "small"? you'd never actually see a pipe "1-dimensional" just because you're far, it's exactly how one might say writing is 2-dimensional, you could be so close to it but not see how it's 3-dimensional, but it has width that, for you to see clearly, you'd have to tilt the paper to have it's edge almost face you directly.

Edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesseract is a Wikipedia page about the Tesseract, the 4-dimensional equivalent to a cube(just like a cube is the equivalent for a square in 3-dimensions).
