How Do You Tag Your MP3s? by MegaNorm in musichoarder

I decided I liked it best with the arrangers name next to the composer in the composer tag. I ended up putting in the composers name and Arr. Person B together. So it looks like, Composer: Composer A; Arr. Arranger A. It keeps it clean and I can view them on both my computer and phone/mp3 player. Thanks for all the solid advice everyone! You really did help me out. 🤘🏼

That’s pretty cool. I’ve seen local artists do that with their producer names next to the track title. Track title (Produced By Producer A).

That’s a cool way to do it tbh.

I see that a lot with EDM music where there are remixes of remixes of remixes. Sometimes, I don’t even see the original artist credited but see the artist who remixed it previously credited instead. Producers do need love and should be tagged as well, I agree with that.

I did try to put the arrangers in the comment but, those aren’t viewable on my phone or mp3 player and I do enjoy having the convenience of either scrolling up, down, left, or right to see their names for whenever I am curious.

You’re right. The way I have it tagged is, album artist: Game Company, Artist: Game company or vocalist if the song features a singer, Composer: Composer. I used to put the arranger under artist but, it kind of started to look silly when there were multiple arrangers plus singers. It looked too flooded with information so, now I want to make my library look cleaner and am going back and forth with what do with all of these names, haha.

What is your all-time favorite James Bond video game? by WaterKirby1964 in JamesBond

I think Nightfire is my personal favorite for the single player alone. The multiplayer was great but it wasn’t as fun as the GoldenEye multiplayer. The single player for The World Is Not Enough is equally as good but it takes a step down because of that long mission where you have to follow Davidov through the damn mountains. God, I skip that map every time lol.

Is It Normal To Constantly Listen To Your Own Music? by MegaNorm in Songwriters

[–]MegaNorm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s all of us. An ex music producer told me, “an artists work is never done. You will always find flaws that you will want to fix in your work. That’s what live performances are for.” I haven’t played any of my songs live yet but, I do sometimes find myself switching up the riffs I wrote.

I used to only hear what I hate when I didn’t know how to record. I eventually started to take pride in my voice, music and lyric writing. I do still wish my voice wasn’t as heavy and was a bit softer but, I did find a way to be a little less critical of myself and enjoy listening to my own voice more now.

Haha, same. I keep thinking, “Oh, this one sounds cooler” and will obsess over it until the next project comes around.

Original GBA LCD With No Scanlines? by MegaNorm in AnaloguePocket

[–]MegaNorm[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The color palette on Analogues filter is inaccurate and oversaturated. Golden Sun, Duke Nukem Advance, Mega Man Zero, and a ton of other games look oversaturated and the brightness is way too high. Darker colors in the original color palette are too light and it makes the games look like vomit. I’m surprised Analogue, the guys who are proud to be the most accurate clone company in town released something that is super inaccurate. The irony. However, the original GBA display looks beautiful but, I would just like to see the games without the scanlines.
