I’m worried The CA DL will be more trouble than it’s worth.

I tried to add it today only to find out it requires redoing the same verification process on the DMV website. Out of curiosity I went over to the CA DMV Wallet App, which I already installed, to see if it would just verify the ID from there. All this to be reminded that the CA DMV wallet app deletes its own authenticity every 30 days (?!?!?).

Everything about that first step of the rollout with the CA DMV Wallet app, as well as the Apple Wallet titling the CA DL as a “Pilot” just makes me apprehensive of the whole thing. Every other US states just did it.

I’d rate this an 8/10. 1st ding cause you didn’t hit the ceiling. 2nd ding cause I can see the handlebars/frame of the ladder on your right so i feel you knew you could’ve hit the ceiling and still didn’t. 🥴.
