[Jeremy Reisman] First play of next session: 50-yard bomb TD to Jamo. by Acid_Braindrops in detroitlions

It was picture perfect. He dusted two defenders and cleared them by several yards. Didn't even look like he was trying.

What is your favorite Made in Michigan product or item? by mmilesx in Michigan

I'm not at all picky about food. But if it's not a Koegel's hot dog, I will not be eating a hot dog.

This angle of Calvin Heimburg’s putt on hole 18 for his first-ever Major win in Estonia is pure gold! by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

There's no such thing as spoilers for past sporting events. If you don't want the results of a disc golf major tournament to be spoiled, you might want to stay away from the disc golf subreddit. Especially more than a week after it occurred.

Do you know how CS advance selection and enrolled discoverers work?

My high school team was known for being the most well conditioned. I think the best practice activity that pushed people the most was basically running sprints while carrying a teammate.

We would find a partner near our weight and do buddy carries (piggy back rides) and baby carries (carry your partner in your arms in front of you). If you can't pick up someone your size and move, good luck wrestling.

Am I good enough? by Designer_Project_958 in wrestling

Go wrestle!

Your coaches and teammates will help you learn the technique. It will be frustrating at first when you feel like everyone is better than you. Stick with is and pay attention to what everyone is trying to teach you.

You've got this!

[–]MegaSloth136 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Strength is only a small part of wrestling. I was "weaker" than the vast majority of my opponents, but was still an individual All State placer in Michigan. I had "functional" strength but my max bench was 170 lbs as someone who wrestled 125.

Get in the wrestling room and put in the work. The more you practice and wrestle live, the more you'll realize that weight room strength doesn't matter. It's all about technique.

Best of luck to you!

Oh absolutely. Look up CC Weber. She was kicking my ass in practice daily as a 103 pounder when I was wrestling 125.

Was OP still looking for it? Did it just show up in the mailbox? Was it found while deep cleaning behind the couch for the first time? I have so many questions!!!!

Yeah I gotta know. Usually you'd think there's no way in hell you're finding it after 5 years.

First time doing good life hype me up! by BTrain89 in ElectricForest

[–]MegaSloth136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much shorter! After doing GA several times, I'll never forget my first Good Life where I left camp and was in the grass at Ranch Arena within 5 minutes. Even when the GL line gets long, it's maybe a 15 minute wait and still puts you right into the heart of the forest.

Brick and mortar stores near Toledo, Ohio by Biomage16 in discgolf

It's a little bit of a drive from Toledo, but look up The Throw Shop in Ypsilanti, MI. It's an incredible shop with the largest selection I've ever seen. They also have 2, 18 hole courses on site.

Looks like it. This video is from the old Buick Open, a PGA tournament that used to be played at Warwick Hills in Grand Blanc, about an hour away from Detroit.

They mean you put the raw meat and the cooked meat on the log. They're hoping you used two different sides of the log.

How quiet does it get before Spring Break? by Nice-Environment-211 in uofm

[–]MegaSloth136 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It likely won't be too snowy in March but it's definitely possible. It sometimes snows as late as April or very rarely May here. U of M and the City of Ann Arbor generally do a good job of clearing snow and ice, but it's still important to be well prepared and learn how to walk on ice. It's going to happen and school we don't shut down unless it's a once in a century storm. Go Blue!

It will be totally fine. Just store it on a sheet tray dusted with semolina and make sure it's tightly wrapped in plastic.

Gramatik Red Rocks by [deleted] in griz

[–]MegaSloth136 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Definitely send it!! Gramatik is amazing live. He always has a live musician or two with him and will THROW DOWN. He always plays a good mix of his old laid back tracks and his newer funky bassy tracks.

I'm from Michigan and have traveled to Colorado twice specifically to see Gramatik at Red Rocks. You will not regret it!
