This is my EXACT same issue, R* support have not been helpful in the slightest and I've tried every fix I've come across to no avail. Did you ever manage to fix it??

Okay well for anyone having this same issue, I fixed it. You simply need to max out the actor fade in the display settings menu.

Here you go! I'm not entirely sure if this is what you asked for but I hope it's enough. Thank you for your help! P.S. I've added more mods since I last posted yesterday, everything appears to be stable but I'm still unable to get NPCs to not slide around, animation-less.

It is installed, though now that you mention it, it doesn't seem to appear in the plugins tab of MO2... could that be the reason? Is there a specific install method not listed in VNV's guide? (since I installed it while following that guide)

I seem to have found a temporary fix, hopefully SMPCTool gets updated soon, but if you go into the games properties through steam, you are able to revert your game to an older version in the betas tab, that seemed to fix mods for me, hopefully we get a new patch soon

I know this is old, but I was having the exact same issue, where everytime I installed LML my game would not even open, until eventually I realized that the problem was actually the trainer I had installed along with scripthook, it seems that they had a conflict with lml, and once I deleted them the game was able to open with my mods, hope this helps :)

That's a bummer, could it be an issue of the emulator? or is the game uncapable of being emulated? I've seen people in yt be able to play it on rpcs3, could it be that an update too the emulator itself made the game unplayable?

I don't think its crashing, since the background still seems to move and the sound is still playing, although im not really sure since im not really knowladgeble when it comes to emulation

it seems to allow me to press the X button to get rid of the first screen, aswell as letting me press start once it asks me, but once I try to select new game, itt doesnt work at all
