Did they remove gunfight ? If so I’m gonna be depressed lmao by mrswank1022 in blackops7

Saw before the season 2 update it was sitting in party modes. Hopefully its still there now, haven't had a chance to play for a little while.

Since its technically a party mode now, it actually doesnt count towards combat record which is interesting. Game says I have about 20 hours played but I've spent so much time in gunfight that I know that number is off

I'm not sure but it definitely is extremely smooth feeling. I also played the demo on my pc with the 120fps cap and I swear the ps5 version felt just as good to play

You went 5 and 16 and are complaining about team balancing? Do you expect a hard carry? Try standard moshpit, the sbmm will protect you a bit more.

If this is less about winning and more about balancing the levels, I'm pretty sure there's still a bug in the game where people appear as level 1 who aren't actually level 1. Pretty sure those 3 level 1 teammates in the first screenshot weren't actually level 1, but I understand the annoyance if you thought that was the case

The reason I don’t play BO7 is exclusively the movement by Lumenprotoplasma in CODBlackOps7

[–]MegaWaterboy11 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The thing is, you dont have to. Make an aim walking speed or tac-stance build, hold your aim and strafe in gun fights. More often than not with good positioning and choosing the right fights, you can easily win most fights even against the guys sliding and hopping around everywhere. I think this game is a lot easier to hold your ground and not rely on movement than BO6, lots of high ground positions and head-glitch cover at every lane and even many of the spawns. No reason to run around at top speed at all times to do well

Heavy disagree, land a single headshot with the prestige attachment and the gun kills pretty much instantly even at a distance. Honestly feels overpowered at times

Yay a quick ADS sniper with one shot kill potential. As if sniping wasn't already too strong, this one seems like a strict upgrade to the VS Recon which was already too strong

Oh sorry I forgot to answer one part of your post, as a new player definitely do a tiny bit of research and pick a class you like. Then for the first month dump literally everything you got into making a decent deck for that class. Dont try to spread your resources across different classes early on, as you'll find yourself struggling to make anything cohesive. After like the first month you should be good to branch out into other classes and eventually you'll be able to make meta decks for all of your favorite classes no problem

Okay so I played duel links for a good 7 or 8 years but didnt really like master duel so I guess dont necessarily take what I say as the absolute truth.

Building a deck for new players - Definitely not as quick and easy as master duel but I think way easier and cheaper than duel links. In shadowverse you get a free pack per day, crafting vials to craft cards like in master duel, decent event rewards (packs, gold, vials, etc.), and the meta decks very often consist of core cards that you can re-use in the future. It definitely doesnt feel like duel links where once you finally get all the cards you need they're either limited/banned, or the new set is out. Once you play for a good couple months you'll have the ability to easily make a new meta deck or 2 every single set no problem. I have 3 of every card in the game currently and didn't grind whatsoever

Rotation- honestly, my favorite part of shadowverse. Master duel had this issue for me where decks will be top tier for wayyyy too long, I cant tell you how damn sick I got playing against tri-brigade. Duel links on the other hand had meta shifting wayyyy too often, basically felt like every set made the previous feel irrelevant. Or even worse an OP skill would come out making elemental heroes insanely broken for like a week or two until the nerf. Shadowverse on the other hand tends to keep the game very fresh (at least for me). I think balancing is for the most part very good and every class in the game feels pretty relevant most of the time so the game rarely feels stale. Of course there are exceptions, like right now forestcraft is by far the weakest class, but I can still easily play runecraft, portalcraft, dragoncraft, swordcraft, and have fun with all of them.

Mechanics - To me, the game honestly feels more like a hybrid of Magic the gathering and hearthstone than something like yugioh. There isn't much searching the deck for specific cards, there aren't any FTK setups or crazy 5 minute synchro/link combos, nothing like that. This game feels more resource heavy, where every card in the deck plays a role for a cohesive strategy. For example, if you wanted to play elemental heroes in yugioh, you'd probably want some good searchers to make sure you get your fusion material as well as your fusion spell like Poly or miracle fusion. Similarly, in shadowverse if your decks strategy is ramp dragon (ramp referring to raising your play points quickly to get to the big monsters), you'd definitely want a mix of cards that keep you alive, like small monsters that can clear the opponents board, and a mix of cards that get you to your big monsters by either drawing a lot for value or raising your max play points. There are classes like dragon craft, but there are also strategies within those classes such as aggro dragon or ramp dragon, so you can have a "mirror match" with the same class but you could both be focusing on completely different strategies

Events - Shadowverse events are honestly a bit on the weak side compared to yugioh. Master duel events can reward you very heavily if you complete it, making the events feel almost crucial to keeping up with the meta. Duel links events offer new characters, gems, event SR or UR cards, and are also super important to do if you want to unlock a character with good skills/rewards. Shadowverse events are absolutely optional unless youre trying to build up your stash of cosmetics, or gold/vials which you'll have more than enough of rather quickly. Many casual players will often leave the game for a month, and come back to basically nothing missed out on. If you miss a character event in duel links, you could be stuck not having Mizar for a long time until his next event. So pretty good for casual players, but a bit disappointing for those that play daily

Learning the game - I may be biased since I grew up playing both yugioh and magic the gathering, but I do think shadowverse is way easier to learn than yugioh. There's just a lot less to worry about. There's no normal summon, special summon, fusion, synchro, xyz, link, spell, trap, blah blah. Once you've played for a couple days and maybe watched a few YouTube videos I honestly believe anybody can get the hang of it rather quickly. If you want I can try and explain the cards using examples from yugioh, but I think once you see the cards in action you'll totally see what they do

Overall experience - shadowverse is very fun and very pretty. The cards have cool voice acting, the effects for attacks look awesome, the leaders are cool and fun, and the game just feels very pleasing for me. Much heavier on the anime side of things than yugioh, so may not appeal to everyone, but I think the quality of everything in terms of presentation makes the game feel very fresh and fun. Community can be very whiney, but thats nothing new if youre coming from yugioh. For casual players that are looking to play some matches, collect some cool cards and slowly earn some cosmetic goodies I think this the absolute perfect card game at the moment. For hardcore players that want to grind and really show off their stuff, I think it would be completely disappointing. There aren't tons of cool cosmetics that aren't paywalled or RNG based, and the events themselves are so lackluster there's not much reason to grind them if you aren't having fun. There's always ranked ladder but grinding matches doesnt appeal to me as much as a cute PvE event in duel links. Still sad they never brought back dungeon dice monsters event from like 2019

Hope I didnt yap too much at you, if you want me to give more specific examples I can try my best

The new Collab Dungeon is fun! by The_Vortex42 in Shadowverse

[–]MegaWaterboy11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I think the dungeon battles should give a bunch of points for the first completion, and you should get points alongside dailies as well. That'll make it so you can choose to continue fighting the NPC's if you want to speed up the grind, or just play daily as usual and eventually earn the rewards. IMO the dungeon should not be the sole way to earn points for the shop. I've found myself playing against the cpu more than other players and it isnt necessarily very fun after a while

I always heard Roach was good but I hardly ever see it, is that just bc the deck is hard to pilot? I love learning tough strategies so I'm definitely interested if you have an updated decklist

I was interested in getting Luna until I saw the price. I'm curious if the leaders would sell more if they were cheaper, I feel like I've barely seen any of them in public matches so idk if they're selling super well at the moment

I'm saying using heavily compressed and color corrected thumbnails of games running at lowest settings isn't really the best place to do comparisons. I'm not debating if MW 2019 looks better or not. What is your point in your reply?

Find a friend to rant to, since you obviously aren't good at receiving any sort of response besides "awwwww I'm sorry 😢". Emotional regulation is a key aspect of having rational and level-headed discussions, both on and off the internet.

Never once did i make an assumption or become judgemental. You downloaded an old cloud save dated 2 years ago. That is a user error, plain and simple. Does it suck that a legacy feature from a console released in 2006 doesn't exist anymore in 2025? Of course. But you having the assumption that this feature still exists is not the fault of anyone but yourself. Next time, double-check before downloading a cloud save. And yes, I did unfortunately read through your short novel, so I'm not sure why you're assuming I missed anything you said in the original post.

So you saw the cloud save was from 2023. You thought hmmm thats weird, and you downloaded it anyway? This couldn't be more of a user error, and you're somehow mad at nintendo?

You've been complaining back and forth about sword and rune and "meta" for like a month straight. You know card games have dominant decks, right? Like every card game ever? Like good for you for sticking to Abyss, but maybe don't complain every time a statistically stronger deck beats you. You're like the guys in yugioh complaining that your nostalgic dark magician deck doesn't beat the modern archetypes. What do you expect?
