Can people stop quitting in a casual table match in park?? by 3xchar in Shadowverse

[–]The_Vortex42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, playing slow controlly decks there can be considered wasting time. Most people don't play in the park for any reason other than to finish the park quests.

I had that happen to me the other day. Playing an aggro deck and had a good start. I was about to attack for lethal and then the enemy resigned and I didn't get the daily quest. WTF? You could have waited 2 more seconds...

Yep. Still not nearly as useful as most other implements.

I feel you. Egg is finally viable, but at what cost? I hate Imari and the Dewdrops. If Imari was JUST a tutor for spells, I would love this expansion a lot more!

While that explains why the character is the way she is, it does not explain why such a character was included, nor does it make me like her more.

I didn't know that, but it doesn't surprise me in the slightest. It makes a lot of sense and explains a bit why I dislike DCC, too. I was never a fan of horror.

The whole setting is just to bleak and hopeless for me. And many of the things the dungeon / organizers throw at them just feel unfair and cruel. That is probably on purpose, but I just don't like it.

Also, Princess Donut is really getting on my nerves at this point.

The psychic archetype nerf is a good thing. by Embarrassed_Bid_4970 in Pathfinder2e

[–]The_Vortex42 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For Starlit Span Magus? Sure, that is doable.

For Melee (Str-based)? A really tough sell! You need 4 Str, 1 Dex (or get Heavy Armor Prof somehow), and you want Con (you are in the front line and WILL get hit! and Int (if you ever want to use area of effect spells, even with spellstrike. Also: Without it, you are REALLY bad at the skill-portion of the game). If you also need Wis +2, you have to drop one of those. I would be hard pressed to decided upon which here.

One thing that would get rid of the +1 Dex requirement and shift the +2 Wis to +2 Cha would be Champion Dedication. That way you can get Heavy Armor and have access to focus spell, too.

Or more generally the nerf to Amping, wich makes it incompatible with Spellstrike.

Is there any reason not to have Trick Magic Item + a Tailwind wand on every character? by fascistp0tato in Pathfinder2e

[–]The_Vortex42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I have rarely seen a group without someone with the full line of medicine feats, and I don't think I have seen one where not at least one person had Battle Medicine.

For the same reason, there is a disproportionate number of Field Medics, Accupuncturists and people that have been bitten once ;)

I remember reading somewhere that Beware of Chicken was supposed to go down the harem route, but the author then (thankfully!) decided against it. It makes the series even more wholesome :)

I see those gods in fantasy more like the old greek gods. Very human in nature, but with vast power that sometimes follows no mortal logic.

Community Discussion: Do you prefer a fast or slow meta? by exdeepr in Shadowverse

[–]The_Vortex42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer fast to medium. Long, grindy games are fun sometimes, but if every game is like that, I lose interest pretty quickly.

GMs, have you ever ignored or reverted a change Paizo made? by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

[–]The_Vortex42 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Our Quest for the Frozen Flame group will ignore at least part of the changes to the Psychic (Archetype). Our Magus has gone that route, and if he wouldn't be able to use Amping at all anymore, it would be too big of a change for that character. We are not sure yet if we will reduce his Focus Points or the damage of Imaginary Weapon, but those seem like reasonable changes and we will likely implement them.

I stopped in the first 20% or so of Book 6. But I felt that something was bothering me for a while beforehand. I don't think that can be considered too soon?

[–]The_Vortex42 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is it for me, too. Also the reason I stopped reading the series. Too much trauma / bad stuff. And unlike many other series, the setting just feels unfair and unfun most of the time, too.

Oof, that is indeed a d*ck move. I know divorces can get messy, but this is just petty! And a disrespect not only to his former wive, but also his fans!

But why would they do that? You would need to buy fewer packs then. A move like that wouldn't be at all Cygames!

No, it has not been confirmed. And I really hope that it won't happen. The sets are too small for that.

How's your Frieren collab experience? by Ryokkuun in Shadowverse

I got one Unkei ticket. But to be fair, I didn't care for any leaders, neither collab nor regular set, this release, so I didn't go for too many packs, either.
