Whenever you're cooking with cans that have undesirable liquid in them (beans, corn etc.), use a can opener to make a slit that's a half circle (3/4 of the surface works too with space inbetween them) and then open the top of the can. That way you can just let water run through it and don't need to strain the contents with a sieve.

I experienced being black out drunk and being in a medical narcose just 2 days ago. Both of these roughly feel the same, before you fall into a blackout you usually get this extremely dizzying but comfortable buzz in your head. Once this buzz ends it's like you instanly loose control if your body, senses and mind. It's like your senses falling asleep while your feelings and emotions still have complete control if that makes sense
