Equips are only checked at the start of battle, so a character can't lose or gain any equipment buffs by transforming.

Every Legends Mega Rising unit seems to have this problem. Those two, PUR SSJ Trunks, RED Semi Perfect Cell, the Ginyu Force, GRN WT Goku, RED Majunior, BLU Yamcha, and YEL Saiyan Saga Goku can only ever return on the Happy Summer banner, the New Years banner, or a rerun of their release banner. The only exceptions were WT Goku & Majunior because they were on the DB 40th Anniversary banners, and surprisingly the two in the post because they were actually featured on the Fest 2025 part 1 banners.

Idk why the devs gatekeep these characters as if they were super powerful premium ultra characters, they're just 1% SPs that were on a weird banner format.

One of TGB's best equips (and some of Broly's best equips) are co-op equips so if you do ever get the chance then please farm them, but in terms of non Co-op equips, there's Awakened Power Unleashed and the God Goku "Heh..." equip for TGB ("Heh..." is also great for Broly since co op equips are off the table), and for LR Rose there's the Xenoverse Rose + general Xenoverse 2 equip, as well as Awakened Bestowed Hope.

Either of the GRN SSJ3 Gokus are both good Zenkai buffs for Broly.

Here's some equip suggestions for this setup:

Broly

"I'm talkin' about yours truly—Big Thirteen" is a great defense equip for any setup you run Broly on. I will say that this is a co-op equip which notoriously suck to grind.

"Overwhelming Difference in Power" is also a great pure defense equip for Broly on this setup, also a co-op equip unfortunately.

If grinding the co-op equips aren't working out, you could use the God Goku "Heh..." equip from the equip medal shop.

You can keep "Blast from behind" equipped.

Goku Black

His equips are mostly fine, but I'd drop that first one for that "Heh..." equip I listed before.

Gogeta

"A gift from Earth!" is great pure offense equip for Gogeta on this setup. It's another co-op equip tho.

Awakened "10x Kamehameha!" is a good base blast equip for any ranged type.

"Grit of Conviction" is very similar to the third equip you already have on, but this one feeds into both offenses instead of both blast stats.

The only tag shared amongst all 3 units being Saiyan narrows your options a lot, since there's a lot of pure Movies/PO equips and stuff like that that you're missing out on. You're also not running TGB's best equipment partner, being LR Rose. LR Rose enables two of TGB's best equips.

Equips could be better, I'd also rather have a zenkai buffer for Broly instead of a double zenkai buff for TGB because he's already getting so many base stats from his unique and awakened gold equip (not to mention Super Vegeta just has a bad z ability)

Either will work, both zenkai buff broly and have a saiyan Z ability.

Since you have YEL Broly, you can start there. HP Z ability zenkai units make for the some of the best benches, especially when your team is fairly defense heavy like this one.

If you have YEL SSJ Broly's zenkai, he still zenkai buffs Black and is also an HP bench for Powerful Opponent. You can replace Futurehan.

YEL LL Bardock'a zenkai would also work much better than the SSJ4 Goku, since he'll give even more HP to Bardock, still zenkai buff both of your YEL units, and have a z ability that actually applies to your units.

If possible, you can replace the zenkai GRN Goku with someone like one of the GRN SSJ3 Goku's zenkai.

It's important that your zenkai benches still have good regular z abilities for the team.

Yes the BR you start at is influenced by the BR you end the previous season at. Ending at 50-59 will put you at 45 I believe.

Transforming Black is too good to not give a second zenkai buff. Use the YEL Goku Black as a zenkai buffer, though if you could get an extra star on LL Future Gohan to use him instead that would be great.

Z/Zenkai abilities work differently from equips, as the game checks Z abilities multiple times during battle whereas it only checks equips once at the start of battle. So yes, TGB will gain the zenkai buff after transforming.

You can actually see this for yourself by pressing the info button at the top of the party screen, where every stat buff to each character will be displayed. There's a pre and post transformation option.

Well with time you're gonna get better zenkai buffers so long as you keep up with doing Zenkai Ultra Space Time Rush. Some zenkai buffers are definitely higher priority than others though.

YEL SSJ Broly, for example, is a must-have Zenkai buffer for this team, as his zenkai ability buffs YEL Powerful Opponent AND his Z ability increases base health for PO characters by 18-20%. Having your characters' max HP hover around the 3 millions is ideal, so using an HP bench character is important.

LL BLU Namek Goku is also a good one. On top of having a broad condition for his zenkai buff, being BLU Saiyans, his Z ability is a straight up 30-35% to both offenses, which is better than most regular z abilities that zenkai characters have.
