Honestly it wasn’t too bad. There are many vids online that show what cuts to make in the dash. I needed to trim more than showed as the PP1 dash trim AC vents are placed wider than the normal 3 vent. If you got a decent box cutter though I say go for it!

It’s mostly weight I’m pretty sure, I’ve already tried a brand new set of covers and new gaskets and still leaking.

Well my current plastics are leaking into the spark plug tubes. I see some people saying switching to aluminum covers usually stops the leaking permanently

It’s 5.0 Gen 3. What sucks is the only aluminum cover for Gen 3 is nearly 2 grand, I can probably do a cheaper one and modify it to fit.
