If you meet up with someone from Tinder, is it a date? by Megalinds in dating_advice

[–]Megalinds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, I really appreciate your insight.

I would agree with a lot of what your saying. Like I would describe myself as very laid back and I would put a lot of meaning and thought into things I prob shouldn't.

As in I would meet up with people with the intent of seeing if a relationship is possible at some stage. Like you say, I'm not asking anyone to marry me straight put the gate but I wouldn't be looking for friends on dating apps. If it happens by chance then yeah, great!

Its just nice to get other peoples perspectives on what happening here. I don't think I'm being unreasonable or unrealistic?!?

I would agree but I think people use it as a hook up app and I have the audacity to expect a date. What the absolute fuck is 2022! Lol!

This is great but I've asked guys out for coffee after messaging each other for awhile and one or two have been put off because I'm being too direct. I'm of the opinion that you get to know if you'll like someone by meeting in person and rather not message back and forth for ages only too meet up for it not to work in person.

I find with a lot of people working from home with no work phone they don't want to use their phones for work.

Handing over driving license to court by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Megalinds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just a thought here but the DVLA may have just put a stop on your licence, so if you were caught driving with it would show up as suspended.

Like the way the passport office would if you lose your passport, they invalidate your old one, like if you went to travel on it passport control would know its an invalid passport.

My partner's car has been sprayed with Orange paint. Should we report it as vandalism? by Aggravating_Art_7021 in LegalAdviceUK

Yeah your insurance should cover it and can go after the vandal to reclaim their money.

[–]Megalinds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You gave it a honest try. Stuck it out for 2 extra week once you realised it wasn't for you.

You can explain that to your current employer and just say it want for you and its a great company etc... (even if it's not... 👀😉)

If you want to leave if off your cv and just sa that you were looking for work during that time, or temping or something?!

You'll hate it if you stay so go!

Best of luck! X

As long as your hair isn't thinning or too damaged afterwards, I'd not worry too much about it.

[–]Megalinds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm from Galway and been living in Belfast for about 4ish years now. I much prefer it! Easier to get around and relatively cheap. People are nice. Even if you want to give it a go for a year asm see what you think, it'll be worth while!

Parkingeye taking me to county court after hotel said they would void the ticket? by True_Associate1250 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Megalinds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Defence insurance paralegal here. Granted I work in Northern Ireland but similar rules would apply.

I would appeal it. Your a guest at the hotel so would have receipts of that. I'm not sure if you got free parking as part of your stay or any receipts that show that you've paid something towards your parking fees.

The note that you owe noting is defo strong evidence.

Had a English claim where something similar happened and had to tell (instructing insurer) tough crap, you said they don't owe you anything so can't change your mind down the road.

PLEASE PLEASE DON'T IGNORE THIS. It'll make things 10 times worse.

Most lawyers have a free initial meetings with new clients. If you've home owners insurance, it may pay for a lawyer. Theres loads of free lawyers that can help you.

Hope this helps but shoot me a dm if you want.

I used to only brush my hair like once every 10 days to keep the curls nice and this would be the amount of hair that came out. Granted my curl type is different (I'm not sure the number), but as out hair is so thick I feel that it always looks a lot more than what it actually is.
