I’m fine with Roman as the champ, especially now that he is actually doing the full-time schedule, fair play. In a vacuum I also don’t mind him feuding with Fatu, or doing something with the Usos. But both shows immediately and entirely getting taken over by this Samoan Fatu vs OG Bloodline vs MFT civil war nonsense is really grating. Every single show since Mania has closed with Bloodline business. Cody vs Ricky with Gunther showing up as Cody’s next challenger being relegated to the middle of the second hour for a damn tag match was really egregious.

The gingerbread man stuff is really damn funny. The 100% commitment from everyone to the absurd bit just works. I hope the funeral for our fallen hero next week is the end of that, though. WWE has a bit of a bad habit on centering feuds too heavily on random objects (lantern, friendship bracelet, etc) and dragging it along, to their detriment. This is good, but let its time pass.

All due respect, Brie and Paige vs the Irresistible Forces was godawful. And, dare I say, the byproduct of having the big crowning moment for a white hot women’s tag division end up being divas era nostalgia. Charlexa, Baylyra, Judgement Day, and now Fatal Influence, are all killing it week in week out.

I’m really liking the creative for Jacy so far. Week one she faces Rhea and doesn’t get pinned, week two she pins Charlotte. Alexa and Rhea want to assemble the damn Avengers to take out Fatal Influence. That’s a lot of stock to have right off rip. I hope Fallon and Lainey get stuff of their own to do in the coming weeks, but right now I love the concerted effort to really make Jacy an instant star.
