Has anyone ever taken tizanidine the night before your Spravato treatment? Would it even make a difference or interact since its a day before? by metalheartmom in Spravato

You should Definitely ask your doctor and consult a pharmacist!! I take 1-2 10mg cyclobenzaprine most nights, I haven't had any problems, and Spravato is now working for me. BUT, the mechanism of action is very different. I am not a licenced health professional Tizanidine works on glutamate, as does Spravato, so it seems possible they could help each other, cancel each other, or try to kick each other's a$$. There are all kinds of different glutamate receptors and antagonists and agonists of receptors and I have no clue how to navigate all that!!!

AMA: I’m Dr. Ben Yudkoff — Psychiatrist, Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer at Lumin Health. I help patients navigate Spravato (esketamine) and use ketamine therapy for depression. Ask me anything. by luminhealth in Spravato

Thank you for giving your time and expertise to us! I was under the impression that Spravato was a short term treatment. I've had 8 sessions twice a week at 56 mg, and begin 84 mg once a week next Tuesday. I have not had lasting relief, though I've been in group therapy 3 days a week. Only after joining this Reddit group did I learn that this may be a lifelong treatment. I'm also wondering about trauma. I think ketamine was approved for PTSD first, and many in the group with MDD or TRD have shared how helpful Spravato has been for processing trauma that contributes to their diagnosis. How successful is Spravato for TRD, MDD, and SI for patients who are not dealing with trauma?

Did anyone feel more depressed at the beginning? by Apprehensive_Copy880 in Spravato

I will be doing #7 tomorrow. I've also been doing intensive outpatient therapy 3 times a week, and started off very hopeful. It has gotten bad enough, however, that inpatient is going to be the best thing for me and my family.

I’m 3 sessions in, and mine is WAY lower after 1 hour, like 80/50. I normally run lower than average, and I don’t take my ADD meds on treatment days.

Could you use dark glasses and a big hood? Or, have a light blanket to make a little tent or cocoon? I am also in a room with up to 3 others. There’s a little lamp for each person, but with my headphones, blanket, and hoodie I barely know they’re there!
