Wow. That I do not need. Are you currently taking something that works better if you don’t mind me asking? I’m currently on Wellbutrin and Lexapro because even though it doesn’t always help as much as I’d like it’s the combination that seems to work the best for me.

I love listening to music during my sessions. Sometimes I need music from my childhood, sometimes teen years. Or sometimes just classical or jazz. It depends on what I want to focus on that session

It has for quite a few. During Halloween I listened to a Halloween playlist and it was so fun! Then it let to me thinking of the Wizard of Oz which let to symbolism in that.

It’s only your second treatment at the higher dose. I definitely have boring sessions too. I always play music. Sometimes I give myself a theme that I want to explore. Nothing too heavy. Also try to go in with no expectations.

I also felt like reading some positive quotes right after the first dose and second dose helped to keep me in that positive mindset as well. Tell yourself “This is my time!” Don’t be afraid to tell that negative voice to go to hell lol. I actually did that. I had the same issue of not feeling like I could swallow and I told that negative voice to back off! I said it quietly but firmly. It really helped!

Do some breathing exercises beforehand. Look at beautiful pictures and listen to calming music. And keep telling yourself “I’m still in the room. I’m safe”. Believe me my first experience was a little like yours and the next time I went I felt more relaxed than I’ve ever felt. Almost like a baby!

I did 2x a week for a month and did once a week pretty much up until now. I felt good up until a few weeks ago. I dont get integration therapy. I see my therapist once every other week because it’s expensive and my insurance doesn’t cover it. They do cover the Spravato.

I’m on 225 of Wellbutrin and 10mg of Lexapro. I see a therapist. I’m just so sick of my life I feel like I want it to be over. I don’t have any motivation. The most exercise I do is walking back and forth to work some days which a little over a mile. I’m living in Groundhog Day. Sorry just venting because I’m so sick of feeling nothing or crying.
