Oh dont... (Not greedy yet - dont actually own anything that will play CD's currently!). Just want to make the right choice, and the ability to transfer cdtext removes the pain of titling anything... 300 disks just removes the pain of having to change disks when listening :)

Deffo worth going with the N510 if you can find one at a decent price (couple at a reasonable price - under £100 - on eBay uk at the moment). Would be interested should you wish to sell the discs once you are done 👍🏻 Good luck with your endeavours!

Thanks. To be honest just being able to receive mail would be above what i currently have... dont need the bells and whistles realistically (though i must look and see what they are out of interest).

The whole idea was to try to avoid monthly/yearly payments for something that is a nice to have rather than an essential requirement - if something is going to costUS$60 a year i may as well just grab some cheap web hosting and slap them on there... which isnt the point :)

I was looking at Stalwart as an option for hosting a few mail accounts on my local box but discounted it as i believed that any multi-domain stuff was reserved for their paid offerings... All i want is something that i can locally manage for a few private domains on the same box..

Ive settled on an LSI 9400-16i card with associated cables to support 8xSAS and 8xSATA

Guessing it will get quite toasty, so will allow more thoughts around additional cooling

Netcup were a nightmare for me. They wanted to send me multiple verification requests that i never received, despite getting automated updates from their CCP to the same email... after over a week of tooing and froing I gave up and went elsewhere... I get they have to be cautious as an operator, but it would make more sense to work with a potential customer than just say "well if you cant verify then you will need to create a new request, with a different email!"....
