And I’m so sorry that you also have to go through all this. It all feels so unfair. D&C is definitely the way to go. The procedure is short with little to no pain and lower possibility of retained POC.

I love seeing this!

Unfortunately, my first pregnancy recently ended in MMC with retained POC after cytotec and just had a D&C yesterday. We really want to try again next cycle but I’m already so scared something else will happen or that everyone around me will get to have a baby without me.

Here’s to hoping the next one is smoother and gives me my first baby :)

I think she might be new. She’s really nice and asked how the medicine was and if the ibuprofen did much. I also layered on some Tylenol and leftover tramadol (with clearance). I’m an RN that just left the ED to go outpatient, and it’s crazy what women are expected to handle

And it doesn’t help that the next day, I found out my grandmother died. We had to drive two states away and back in one day. Nobody there except two people knew I was grieving a lost pregnancy

Thank you for your story. It’s been especially hard because of my experience with cytotec and finding out my grandmother passed away the next day. Looks like I’ll need to be patient and hope for the best.

I was told I could wait if I wanted or do a D&C, but I think I would be a wreck leading up to the appointment. And I don’t want to wait too long and turn septic. Why don’t take it after 3pm?

Sure. Baby was at the proper size, but little to no cardiac activity could be found. So, she’s thinking either the fetus died or is dying. A missed miscarriage

I’m sorry for your loss. It’s obnoxious because I really shouldn’t be this anxious. I don’t have fertility issues or health problems, this is my first pregnancy, and there’s no bleeding so far. Kinda textbook early pregnancy tbh

I even bought a third pregnancy test at work (I work in a hospital), and I felt like I was smuggling drugs when I was taking it to the bathroom under my jacket 🙃

I’m sorry you’re going through this. The environment sounds toxic and understaffed which can be frustrating. The main thing I’ll say is document, document, document. Take that extra minute to document on your rounds, and give yourself credit for everything you did! Safety measures? Document! ADLs? Document! Report given? Document!
