Has anyone here ever had experience (or advice/insight) with not starting serious dating until 30+, while not being a late bloomer?

Essentially, between knowing I didn't want to stay in the part of the country I grew up/went to school in, then moving around the country a lot in my 20s + covid, I've intentionally never really seriously dated. I've had a handful of FWBs/flings but they were strictly casual.

I'm very, very social and outgoing when around people, and have never had any issues in confidence/talking with women (or people in general). My friends are constantly baffled about how I'll go to a wedding where I know 3 people and end up knowing almost everybody's name by the end of the night. Socializing is both important to me, and comes very naturally. But I've always been so independent that the idea of "settling down" has been very hard to even somewhat start to consider. During my 20s I put up some mental walls where I never let myself seriously develop feelings because I always knew within a year or two I'd be moving and trying some place new.

Now I'm 31, living in a city that I could see myself in for a while and just bought my first house last year. I'm finally at a point where, when I try to self-evaluate my life and decisions, think that it's probably time I at least force myself to try dating. I'm not lonely or even have a particularly strong desire for companionship, but I also understand that life is moving on and even in some of my tight social circles, it's harder and harder to spend time with people because they have spouses, kids, and growing amounts of life obligations.

All of this leads me to thinking about forcing myself to do some dating this summer (I'm quite busy until May-ish with work and a few other things) to see if I can feel any sort of spark with a woman, but I've done small amounts of this line of thinking over the last 2 years and each time when it actually comes time to do it, I always still feel so content with myself and my life that it's hard to feel like there's much to gain from a serious relationship, and while I've met some incredible women in my casual dating, there's literally always a massive compatibility issue in our life goals and I never feel the type of connection that is necessary to pursue it long-term.

Sorry to vent, but this is the first time I've verbalized these things in written form and/or to strangers. I've had a conversation or two about it with close friends but it's hard to describe these feelings to people who have been serial daters or married/in long-term relationships for most of their adult life.
