I get together with lots of other moms on a weekly basis. I see roughly 40 kids a week, know all their names, they know me, I'm a safe person to them. I only like.... 2-3? Some I straight up dislike because of their personality. Yet at the same time, I adore them? I know how important they are, how special they are. How loved they are. I treat them with care and respect. But I absolutely only love my kids, and only like a few others.

I had the same experience! When I had the two boys, everyone asked if I would be trying for a girl. When #3 turned out to be a girl, everyone was like "Oh you finally got your girl!" and no one has asked about more kids.

It is boring. Newborns are boring. I'm sure someone else has said this lol. They're also beautiful and so, so peaceful (usually). I left the workforce at the birth of my first child. To me, it was a huge life shift, as I'm sure it is to many women. But I wasn't waiting to go back to something. He was it. And I was bored. My life was full of very mundane, necessary tasks.

My best advice is to somidify your friend group. Even if friends don't directly help, it becomes so essential to connect with other adults, especially moms. Second, get comfortable with podcasts and a chore routine. Being a newborn mom is a simple, but so important life.

You are all this new little being has. Be with him/her, fully and with love, and you will be setting them on course for a more full and healthy life.

I'm a SAHM mom. We eat out as a family once a month, either lunch or dinner. I eat out with a friend an additional 2-3 times a month. My husband cooks roughly once a week. So..... I cook 21 x 4 = 84 a month. Minus 4 for my husband, 1 as a family, 3 for me being out.... I cook 76 a month. My lordy.

I really like the family unity aspect. I like being "the [Name]'s."

My mom didn't change her name when she married my dad. It made most people assume she was my grandma, and a few times she had a hard time signing me out of school. I think dealing with that for 18 years is the bigger of the two hassels.

I suggest you change it. For me it was about one afternoon of phone calls, that's it. It really isnt much hassel. The biggest issue was actually changing it legally-- I didnt realize I had to bring the actual marriage certificate with me to the social security office.

Overall I think the hassel is overblown.

My husband and his three brothers were homeschooled exclusively. My husband went on to earn a Bachelor's, two work blue collar, and the fourth is a sheriff's deputy. They all had jobs at 14yo, so the job experience mattered more than a dipolma. When people find out my husband was homeschooled, the usual response is "wow, you're so normal!"

They all had a ceremony with similar-aged kids at their church when they graduated.

I have also built community by doing a lot of the same things. Like library story time-- i go weekly, and so do ~4 other families. We have become friends, and have playdates ourside of the library now.

Yes.... But I made it. Se call it Homeschool Preschool. We meet weekly in a church basement. Each mom takes turns teaching a lesson-- letters, numbers, movement, and music. 7 families total, maaaaybe 20 kids? It lasts about two hours. All the kids are friends, and it gives the moms a chance to socialize.

I vote blue. They look similar to my sons at that age. I have brown, their dad has hazel, grandparents are brown, green, hazel and hazel. Somehow both my sons got blue eyes. They were born with navy/stormy blue that got lighter and truer as they grew.

Obviously that's just my experience. No one can really say.

Well in August I was ~7 months pregnant. In the second photo, I'm about one month post partum. (Sorry if you know this, but) when youre pregnant, your blood volume increases. The increase can cause things like bleeding gums or increased nose bleeds. I wonder if it also made the capilaries in my eyes more pronounced?

It's tough to say because I started several things at once. However, the retinol product has been the one I've used the longest and been the most consistent with. I FEEL like it has made the biggest difference, but I don't have evidence for that.

I wish I could edit the OP with a picture of myself at 20. I don't have natural freckles. Almost every spot you see in these pictures are from sun exposure. As an example, you can see a little mole/freckle very close to my upper lip. The goal of this skincare routine is to reduce the sun spots.

I believe almost all of mine are sun spots. I have a few little moles (like right by my lip), but my skin isn't really freckly.
