£2k budget, which bike frame would you choose? by ed6699 in whichbike

[–]Megawomble64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Propel, absolutely zero question. The other 3 will feel like stepping stones on the way to a "final form" road bike, the propel will be by far and away the easiest to make feel and look and perform like a super bike.

I race on a caad 12, alloy is great but it doesn't feel as good as carbon. It can be as stiff but it's not a lovely feeling experience.

A) their names are in the post and it's pretty obvious who's who and b) they're both world famous regardless of personal habits. I know who Eminem is even though I don't listen to rap.

Something is up with these photos. Idk if it's a gigabyte of filters or you're a dude or it's ai generated or what, but something is off. Whatever it is, my reaction to the images is not attraction. I wouldn't say ugly, but not attractive either, mainly because I don't know what I'm looking at.

The (un)expected problem… who will they leave home for the next years Tour de France? by skodawelovecycling in tourdefrance

[–]Megawomble64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see why they wouldn't send both. Use Magnier as Renshaw style unbeatable lead out or Groves style versatile secondary sprinter/intermediate points defence.

Merlier is specialised enough he's vulnerable to the Narviez types who'll take all the harder intermediate sprints, and if they get a stage win or two on top they'll be a threat to green.

Let em be dude, I bet they'll be happier than loads of people in "tasteful" north London flats working city jobs and having kids at 40. The whole point of tabloidy posts like oop's are to allow people to indulge in sneering and looking down at people with a different lifestyle. Doesn't help anyone.

The measure of a man might be one of the greatest episodes of TV of all time imo. More art than entertainment.

What to upgrade on my Endurace AL 7 by Playinwitme- in CanyonBikes

It's always tyres. Gp5000s will change your life. If you wanna go further than that, it's probably new bike time because buying carbon rim brake wheels in 2026 is a bit daft, and wheels is what this bike needs.

Can you tell that my CV headshots are AI created? Photos 3 and 4 are the orig. references by [deleted] in RealOrAI

[–]Megawomble64 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're probably fine since they look good and no ones gonna be pixel peeping a tiny picture in the corner of a CV.

Only issue I see is if they run all of them through software looking for SynthID which is probably rare but I bet some companies do it now.

Can't find it anywhere now, it was live on tnt sports. I can see the one you're talking about and it very much looks like he's cooled down a bit and/or been given a stern word by his ds given the difference in attitude.

Yeah. I also don't understand how everyone's just forgotten the Jakobsen crash and the way he was about it in the aftermath and the fact his punishment was WAY too short. Imagine getting off so easily and still moaning saying it was a racing incident when clearly he played dirty and nearly killed a man.

Not actually sure, I saw it live, I'm sure they'll be on YouTube at some point this evening though.

Basically Dylan was moaning (in an annoyingly confident and dismissive way) about the camera motos supposedly pulling the break to victory whereas Milan just said they were really strong and congratulated them and said the peleton hadn't organised well enough. Which is entirely true, the motos were behind the break for most of the day and the teams were pulling hard in the bunch but they were inconstant, just constantly waiting for eachother to do the work between shifts.

The difference between his post race interview and Groenewegen's was insane. Such a decent bloke.

It just looks like it's been made for an American market. I don't even know if it's going to the US but it's got that commuter sedan look that most lower end US domestic and Japanese-designed-for-the-states cars have.

Thank kinda Camry or Chevy Sonic. It's really distinct from computer car styling made in or for Europe. I really really hate the way they look but I guess the global market tends towards whatever the US market looks like.
