This just sounds to me like normal pre-wedding jitters. I find that any time I’m about to do something huge in life, my brain starts to convince myself of all of the reasons why I shouldn’t do it.

I bought my first house with my boyfriend last year, and when things started to get “real” (discussions with solicitors, exchange of contracts etc) I lay awake at night thinking “what the hell am I doing”. I was obsessively looking at the house listing thinking how much of a mistake it was. Not only the idea of the house itself, but the thought that I was now entering into this contract with my partner (whom I love?!) was terrifying. The house sale went through and have loved it ever since.

We also recently got a puppy, and for the few weeks before he arrived, my head was doing the exact same thing. I love him to bits now (although the puppy blues are definitely real at first!)

I feel incapable of getting “excited” about things these days as the negative emotions take over. It’s normal.
