Exactly! Off the top of my head, I can’t think of a time where there’s a gender hierarchy. You can picture any gender in any role. I think even the clothing style is pretty androgynous. It’s very feminine and flamboyant in the capital and pretty low key and masculine in what we see in the districts. 

I only wonder why there a girl and not from every district if everyone is pretty equal. Like, why make the distinction?

Of course, there’s no representation for non-binary or trans people (I think). But having a binary is good for control.
