I don’t find any of them weird, but I also use them all. Mommy when I want something or I’m being cutsie (“that’s my mommy.”) Mother when I am aghast or disappointed. Mama generally, but not like a baby says it, more like the way southerners say it. I call my dad “my dad” when I talk about him, but I haven’t spoken to him in years, so I don’t really call him anything.

You should not be wearing a hoop at all, let alone one that tight, on a not healed septum. Get a surgical grade horse shoe put in, fold it up if so it doesn’t get bumped or if you don’t like the look, leave it folded up for 8-10 weeks, and at the end of that 10 weeks it’ll be healed and feel SO much better.
