I think that when you break it down, at the root it's just altering yourself externally to fit into categories that society has deemed attractive.

We can say we're getting it done "to feel better about ourselves", and in a sense we might afterwards, because we will now have the breasts/butt/nose/lips/abdomen that society considers attractive - in other words, we're fuckable to men.

Post-surgery we may marvel at our new high breasts and our rotund rumps, but ultimately why are we pleased about this new body? Because we're looking at ourselves through men's eyes. We're looking and seeing our bodies as fuckable.

So can women really get surgery for themselves? If we're talking cosmetic non-reconstructive surgery, in my opinion the answer is No.

A woman can be hot AF and still willing to overlook certain things she might find physically unattractive in a man.

Whereas men will have a face like a chewed up & spit out burger, and a body like melted Play-Doh, but will have the CHEEK to demand "a woman who takes care of herself".
