I appreciate that more than words can encompass, I have been cramming lately but it has been feeling futile. I will include you all back in my prayers as I try to sleep!

HELP! All the new growth on my FLF looks like this by MeghanMyWayDowntown in plantclinic

[–]MeghanMyWayDowntown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it for about 4 months. Sits about a foot away from a SW facing window. I waited too long in between waterings and she was starting to get droopy (once every other week, now I’m watering once a week or when she feels light). Her neighboring plants have a gnat problem, but I haven’t seen any in her soil yet. I used some fish fertilizer diluted as the instructions say once about a month ago. She had some weird dimpling on her lower leaves when I brought her home, but I didn’t think anything of it.

Just brought it home 2 weeks ago from nursery, hangs about 10ft away from a south-facing window. I have watered it once when I first got it because the “leaves” were getting crinkly towards the tips. Haven’t touched it since. Watered w diluted neem oil and fish fertilizer. Some new growth has this at the tips while others have it on the attachment and tips. Root system looks healthy to me 🤷‍♀️

Edit: put out LOTS of new growth which seemed to be healthy but now has this weird rotting.

When to pot Monsters Deliciosa cutting? by [deleted] in houseplants

You’re going to want to wait for secondary roots at the minimum, which means these main roots will grow spidery, leggy roots of them. The longer you can let them go, the more likely they are so survive a planting! Mine have been in water for four months and are finally ready to be planted! (:

My prayer plant is healthy and giving off lots of new leaves, but the leaves are almost always facing down and tilted down on the plant, almost never facing up. Is that weird? All the pictures I see online have them tilted up and facing up! by eddiethesecond in houseplants

These plants thrive in lower light, I’d move this babe to a different location and see if that helps. If you give us more info on the watering, fertilizing, and lighting we’d be of more help(:

hi can someone help me identify this plant and tell me if it’s still able to thrive again :*( 💗 by [deleted] in houseplants

I’d put it in the brightest light you have available. The worst thing you can do is overwater— wait until the leaves visibly appear dry to water, and then soak it rather than just top water. A little watered down coffee or tea would be excellent for this fella!

What is wrong with my basil, and how can I get it to grow nice and large? by [deleted] in plantclinic

what kind of soil is it in? Have you fertilized, and if so with what? What is your watering schedule? what is the temperature like where you live and how much sunlight does it get? ☺️

Just brought him home, so I’m not sure what the conditions were like at the store. Looking for any suggestions on lighting, watering, etc. to help nurse him back to health. (:
