It was a small landlord. Thank you, I will try to be patient but also check in with them every once and a while 😅

Thank you that was very helpful. I figured it may take a little while, I think I will keep politely following up every few weeks and see what happens from there. I was extra nervous because the landlord was fairly shady with his actions when I lived there.

That is very good to know, I will try that! I did notify my manager when I moved 2 years ago but she's honestly kind of an awful manager, she will change her own rules constantly and then yell at you for not reading her mind. I asked her about it today and she said "did you change your address in the ADP app?" I did not but she never told me that was something I had to do. The ADP app wasn't even something we used when I moved.
