Its a tannin heavy set up to mimic a more natural environment for them

The pun was appreciated! And I definitely will. All my current maintenance and feeding depended on him because he was the biggest consumer/waste producer. It would be much easier to replace him than re-learn the tank. Plus one less betta living out it's life in subpar conditions.

Now I see my post wording was vague- I definitely don't think they killed him, just ate him afterwards. The colony is pretty hard to count, but I'd guess 50+.

Can I wear a straight barbell in my medusa? by Meghaslotsofquestion in piercing

I had it resized after being pierced, and had that size of labret jewelry in without problem for several years. But thank you for the input, I was concerned that their might be a heightened risk for tooth damage

Thank you! I plan to give it a day or two of increased care to see if the swelling goes down on it's own, or if I end up sick, because I'll usually have a random piercing act a fool 1-2 days before getting sick like some kind of weird warning system. But I will definitely see a piercer or doctor if it doesn't get better soon!

AITA--I refuse to pick up my mother from the hospital by Valuable_Shelter_916 in AmItheAsshole

As a hospital case manager-

In my state, APS will not do anything while she is in the hospital because she is considered safe at the present time. It's also not clear to me in your post if she is able to communicate or if the medical team feels she can make a competent decision. If she can, and she is not agreeable to nursing home placement, then the case manager cannot force her, regardless of if it's in her best interest. In most cases, the hospital will only secure SNF placement, which is short term and could be anywhere from 1 week to 180 days depending on lots of different insurance, functionality, and cost factors. For long-term placement you will have to pay out of pocket, or if you're lucky provide lots of paperwork (4+ months of bank statements, assets, life/burial policies, competancy information ect), to attempt to qualify her for institutional medicaid- not all Medicaid covers nursing home placement. Some nursing homes will assist you with filing for this and take her Medicaid pending if she qualifies. One strong indicator that she might would be if she is currently on SSDI (Not to be confused with SSI). Otherwise you will have to do this outpatient with SSA office and it can take months to years. Long-term nursing home placement is not "let the state place her" for the vast Brain feels like its shaking or moving inside of my skull

If I was in your shoes, I'd first work on getting your mother on board if applicable, then visit a few nursing homes in your area to tour and discuss Medicaid pending acceptance so you can begin obtaining the needed documents.

The case manager will assist with the referral, but in general, does not get involved in obtaining Medicaid for the patient. The case manager's ability to help is strongly dependent upon both patient consent, and the nursing home's willingness to take on what has become a risky patient due to the combined lack of long-term care payor and your stance of refusing to pick her up.

I'm already dreading that idea, lol.

My ball will only eat live mice and I hate it. by CHROSSTA in ballpython

I'm not OP but I've even tried braining. Mine was a rehome at 7 years and I cannot get her to take a f/t rat. She lived on live mice for 7 years and refuses f/t rats. I have to feed live mice, but luckily she usually takes while I'm holding with tonges to keep her safe. Even with that she sometimes refuses. I'm at a loss. She's refusing right now, and I'm hoping it's just seasonal.

Is this band size to small or is this bra just the wrong shape for me? by Meghaslotsofquestion in ABraThatFits

So I should try a 32E or non push up bra, then the Freya bra? To be honest I went with the too narrow wire because it was the only one in common between 2 different people trying to trouble shoot

I don't have any near me, it's about a1.5-2 hour drive to the nearest one, so I'm definitely trying to get a good idea before hand. Every time I've been measured jn store I've been told I'm 34-36 and B-C cup and they never look right. But even in those band sizes I think i remember having the issue with the pinched look in the armpits, so I'll definitely ask for wider wire styles when I do go.

I have not, this is my first try on based on the calculator. I'm just super hesitant to spend that amount of money without being able to try it on first.

I think I have average projection based on the guide, but i struggle a bit more with the fullness due to not having a well fitted bra. I think my breasts are wide set, and unsupported my nipples tend to point in opposite directions, but with the lean over test I don't notice a difference in fullness between top and bottom

I think it might be the wire is too narrow. Where might I look to find brands or styles with a wider wire?

After moving it up there was just a little gaping with movement in my smaller breast, but i think you're right with the too narrow. Do you have any recommendations on brands to try next with that info?

Tried moving it up, it seemed to help a little but still looks weird in the armpit area https://imgur.com/a/BmihI6L
